Are they also bringing in Stoll, Penner and Richards as camp tryouts?

Kind of like when Lombardi brought in Ethan Moreau and Trent Hunter. Boy did they leave a lasting memory.

If we are going old with Jumbo Joe. Why not keep add with Jagr? We'd have the oldest team in the league.

Jagr--Kopitar--Toffoli
Pearson--Thornton--Carter
Brown--Kempe--Gaborik
Lewis--Dowd--Brodz

Forbort--Doughty
Muzzin--LaDue
Gravel--Martinez

Quick
Campbell

Jagr, Williams, Thornton, Marleau, Iginla, and Sharp. We can fit them in probably.

Marleau - Kopitar - Williams
Pearson - Carter - Toffoli
Sharp - Thornton - Jagr
Brown - Lewis - Iginla

Obviously.

These team needs a guy like Williams again even if he's not producing like he used to. True competitor.

What he has , does best, esp in the playoffs comes from deep inside and you can't teach it. Success everywhere he goes.

Speaking on JW, he just completed a vacation (including St Andrews) in Scotland with a bunch of his Capitals teammates, a gift from them. And Mike Richards was there as well.

@JustinWilliams

What an amazing trip to Scotland! Thx to my @Capitals mates for sending me#tripofalifetime

Williams would be a fine player in a 2nd/3rd line role. He scored 24 goals last year, and 22 the year before that. Those totals are probably a little inflated from playing on the Caps, but I still think he could chip in 15-20 goals.

It's just a question of whether or not we have better options, and whether or not he's worth the cap hit and term he'd require.

Agitator/pest:

He looks like a pest, just not a hockey pest.

I love Williams, but come on. Unless the kings completely change their system there's no way he'd crack 10 goals. He was mostly invisible his last year here. I'm glad he found success in Washington, but for him to produce he needs a more offensive team...

As if we all needed a reminder that this team has employed a bunch of rubbish, these last few pages have done an excellent job.

Speaking of rubbish, I started to feverishly search for hockey news on the internet a little over 20 years ago, and back then, we got to witness the following franchise changing transactions, as conducted by one Sam McMaster...

- Traded Eric Lacroix to Colorado for Stephane Fiset. They also swapped first round picks, with the Avalanche ending up with Martin Skoula and the Kings with Mathieu Biron.

- Acquired Petr Klima from Tampa Bay, who I actually got excited over since I was used to seeing him light up the Kings when he was an Oiler.

- Signed Paul DiPietro, who scored two goals against the Kings in Game 5 of the '93 Cup Final.

- Signed Brent Grieve, a big LW who scored 13 goals in 24 games with the Oilers in 93-94.

- Signed Mark Astley, a career minor leaguer.

- Signed Ed Olczyk, who had a decent enough season on a crappy Kings team. The best part about his acquisition is that they flipped Olczyk to Pittsburgh in exchange for a 24-year old Glen Murray.

Age is a factor? Lol Jumbo Joe I believe is older?

Did you read the tweet? It says apples/oranges argument. Since we're at the 90% bring back Williams I predicted I suggest bringing back Teddy Purcell too, he just had a down year, he was banged up, he's had a rad summer in the weight room and he's got the eye of the tiger.

Just think, he'll have "Williams will be traded..." all over again come trade deadline next season.

Williams should have been traded at the deadline the last season he was with the Kings. Another missed opportunity by Dean.

Is Mike Richards gunna get detained at the Scottish border with illicit narcotics? :snide:

Williams scored 18 goals and 40+ points his last season here.

Williams is not anywhere near comparable to Teddy Purcell.
