You do know that Mayor has said management is really looking into bringing him back? Mayors been spot on lately, so whether you like it or not, it's a real possibility.

Would that be the management that was fired last week.....?! ;)

If he's available they should, but given that he's a RFA, I'm not sure how they make that work unless they move Pearson or Toffoli. I think the Kings need to add to their offense along with those two, not detract from it, do I don't know how that'll work.

Wonder if a sign and trade could do it.

I'm a little scared about the TT And TP signings. I know they'll get done. Hopefully not at the cost of having to buyout Gaborik.

If it could be done in the NHL allows it I am all for bringing Votnov back.

No one truly knows what happened that night and the guy has been out of the NHL for two years. All we know was there was a party, she ended up with damage on her, and she said he didn't do it. Maybe I missed some articles but the investigation looks like it was mishandled. My caveat would be to see if she is still with him and if she is not worried about her future then why should we. Do not take this as me condoning any type of domestic abuse against either of the female or the male as I don't think it should be tolerated but there are only two people that know the true facts and if they are still together then maybe The alleged facts we know are not right.

I find it very weird that Lombardi who seem to know the situation would allow Voynov back at the facility to practice and even take a 100,000 fine for it.

Saying that I don't even believe there's a 20% chance of him returning

Her along with her kid are still with Voynov and they are more than happy. I too would welcome Voynov back.

I know we haven't gone that route really yet, but pre-emptively--let's not go back down the rabbit hole of debating the morals or potential lack thereof of the Voynov case.

Until there's new info, we're going to have to accept there's a lot we're not privy to, and we didn't leave any stone unturned in discussion, so I'd rather not have posters questioning one anothers' ethics again until we're given more than a non-official rumor that the Kings are interested in bringing him back.

fair enough

i'm onboard with it, boils down basically to "ain't none of my business" when it comes to tendering a contract

if he's legally allowed to play hockey in the NHL, i think he should be playing hockey in the NHL

I honestly don't see any pr nightmare coming out of it. That's been a bit exaggerated. Look around you and the world we live in.

I said nothing about the Kings' rep in my post, only to avoid questioning one another's morals/ethics in conversation (i.e. "why would you dare bring that piece of **** human being back?" "We don't know what he did, it's not fair to judge him," etc., because the previous Voynov thread was nearly 1000 posts of that).

Let's stick to the facts we know at this point and avoid speculation on what did or didn't transpire.

IIRC, at this point, the Kings hold his rights, and he left of his own volition before being deported, making not only getting reinstated into the NHL tricky, but into the country itself. That's about all we have to think about right now.

as far as immigration, wasn't the situation that he pled down to a misdemeanor from a felony but his lawyers still thought he might get deported? i mean i'm no lawyer but i don't feel like a misdemeanor is something that gets you deported

i can't imagine he gets another visa without a job aka an NHL contract and i think the contract is the sticking point for the NHL itself. would they block a contract tendered by the kings? i'm sure that would meet some resistance from the NHLPA

maybe leaving voluntarily was for a reason, maybe he doesn't want to play in the NHL?

No thanks re voynov, even though he's that all elusive 2nd pair R Dman. We'd have to find another 4 mill(or what ever it was)cap space for starters. People seem to forget the amount of deflection goals (albeit unlucky) that seemed to come off him.

Trade his ass for a elc forward if we hold his rights and he wants back in the nhl.

I watched that game on my international satellite. Prokohorkin was amazing in that game.
