Who would people be willing to pay up for this off-season?

My wish list

Gabriel Landeskog - would be a great power compliment to Kopitar. Willing to go to net. Still younger.

Jacob Trouba - great right shot second pairing Dman. Would balance out our dman and maybe spare Doughty a minute or so a game. Cheap contract this year helps our cap.

Darcy Kuemper- big young goalie that needs a change. Would do awesome in our system and with Ranfords guidance. Rumored to be available last offseason for a late first or second and after an off year I would gamble a third.

Jonathan Drouin - elite skill, young game breaking winger. Puts pucks in the net.

These are a few guys I would like to see added. I know each one would cost a lot excluding Kuemper but each would have a positive effect in this team. I am. It saying grab all because we might not have enough assets to grab even one of the skaters but these are the guys I would be willing to pay a little extra for.

Muzzin/Martinez is are only good trading chip right now, so we could only afford one of these guys.

Also, I don't see a need for Kuemper. Isn't Cambell having a good turn around in ontario?

Wait, the Kings are signing a college goal scorer? :amazed:

New front office, new trends...
Forward turning 24 this year, who knows how to score timely goals
Got the Game winner with 2.6 seconds left in the Frozen four tourny,
(the lost in the final though)

UMD senior left winger Alex Iafallo earned a new nickname on Friday: All-American! He has been named to the American Hockey Coaches Association/CCM All-America First Team (West)

Iafallo reigned as the National Collegiate Hockey Conference's scoring champion (a program first), tops the 2016-17 Bulldogs in overall points (50 -- with a nation-high 15 of those coming in the month of March), goals (20) and assists (30). He currently owns a career-high 14-point scoring streak, which he will take into Saturday night's NCAA Frozen Four title clash with the University of Denver. Named the Most Valuable Player at the 2017 NCHC Frozen Faceoff

Those that morally object should state that is the sole reason why they wouldn't want him back since he paid his dues to society via his jail time, had to self-deport and was suspended for an entire season and--not sure--might still be suspended.

I did not have an issue with him coming back after serving his sentence; however, I'm now more of the belief that the ship has sailed and just moving on is the best bet unless they can bring him back and then trade him for something.

Can't imagine Luc/Blake bringing him back for one of their first moves. The have ZERO capital to play with right now when it comes to something like this while Lombardi still had plenty of goodwill in the Summer of '15 when they were trying/expecting to have him back.

I have no problem with the Kings bringing him back. If they're gonna do it they need to get straight to the point and not try to peddle some watered down, attorney drafted BS press release. They need to say he's paid his dues, regrets what he did, and we want him back because he makes us better. I don't want anything other than that. Own it and move on.

He would make the team much better and that's all that's relevant. The Kings aren't a ****ing charity like many believe, they're a business and the goal is winning. Bring him back if everything lines up. I don't really care what the virtue signalers think.

I agreed before you added the 2nd paragraph to your post. **** it, got to be in it to win it and not worry about what others think of them. Do what is necessary to improve the club.

51 points in 42 games, named to the All Frozen 4 team.
When did they lift the rule about being able to sign forwards from a collegiate team, thought you could only sign D-Men.

Reading the Mayor's tweets about speed and scoring and scouts saying he was one of the best forwards in college make me giddy.

Tough to get too excited about an older college senior that has a big year. Blew his previous seasons out of the water. Sort of like Jason Blake, but he did eventually end up with almost 900 games played and over 200 career goals, although most of that was not with the Kings. It wasn't until 2 years after being signed that he played a full NHL season, and 3 seasons before he put up big numbers. Most college free agents that go undrafted don't put up Blake numbers, but if the Kings signed a guy like that today, then that'll be great.

Nice to have a free lottery ticket. Have definitely been adding skill to the org (Maillet too) to replenish. how they pan out is a question of course, but things are moving.

Don't mind this last signing at all, seeing as I live about 15 minutes from Ontario.

do you know anything more about his game ? Who he compares to ?

Seems to be a very smart player, hard working and good charecter (Hobey Baker finalist) . Good defensive forward with good instincts, and has turned into an offensive catalyst. Has been described as a take charge player and natural born leader whose first instincts are 'follow me'.

This is a pretty good article about him. Great hands and speed...sounds like a good compliment to either Carter or Kopi next year.

“He’s competing hard. Obviously he’s got great hands and his speed. He’s shooting the puck more, which is good. I think previous years he didn’t shoot the puck as much.

“Good players are satisfied with certain things, and great players want to get better. They get three goals, they want four the next game. Those are the things I see that he’s kind of grown into as the year has gone on.â€

“When he stepped on campus and I saw him on the ice for the first time, I knew he was a special player,†Raskob said. “There’s things he does that other guys aren’t able to do. I think this year, it’s just been one of those seasons for him when he’s finally put it all together. He’s playing on another level. It’s unbelievable. It’s fun to watch for me and to have one of my best frieds doing stuff like that is special.â€

The Ontario Reign also added a prospect. Nice to see the Kings getting busy by restocking the severely depleted pipeline.

He's an interesting one. Former 3rd rounder by the Rangers, never quite put up a big 22 goal season again until his overage season as a captain this year when he blew up. I don't see anything about him getting redrafted, and it appears he was at least in camp for the Wild, so he just never stuck anywhere. Maybe a late bloomer, maybe nothing at all, but this would be a guy I would have tabbed as a DL special previously, big kid, captain pedigree, production late, we take a chance on guys like this. Good depth at worst, I like it. More free stuff!

May not mean much, but played on the same team as Cody Glass..

Great ATO signing. Reign are lacking a bit of size this series. Good player to get into the forward mix and create some space. Thumbs up
