Eden's Alex Iafallo signs with Los Angeles Kings after collegiate career at Minnesota-Duluth: http://*******/2oGmTvZ
Who would people be willing to pay up for this off-season?
My wish list
Gabriel Landeskog - would be a great power compliment to Kopitar. Willing to go to net. Still younger.
Jacob Trouba - great right shot second pairing Dman. Would balance out our dman and maybe spare Doughty a minute or so a game. Cheap contract this year helps our cap.
Darcy Kuemper- big young goalie that needs a change. Would do awesome in our system and with Ranfords guidance. Rumored to be available last offseason for a late first or second and after an off year I would gamble a third.
Jonathan Drouin - elite skill, young game breaking winger. Puts pucks in the net.
These are a few guys I would like to see added. I know each one would cost a lot excluding Kuemper but each would have a positive effect in this team. I am. It saying grab all because we might not have enough assets to grab even one of the skaters but these are the guys I would be willing to pay a little extra for.
Not a bad free add.
AHL bound?

Wait, the Kings are signing a college goal scorer?
UMD senior left winger Alex Iafallo earned a new nickname on Friday: All-American! He has been named to the American Hockey Coaches Association/CCM All-America First Team (West)
,Iafallo reigned as the National Collegiate Hockey Conference's scoring champion (a program first), tops the 2016-17 Bulldogs in overall points (50 -- with a nation-high 15 of those coming in the month of March), goals (20) and assists (30). He currently owns a career-high 14-point scoring streak, which he will take into Saturday night's NCAA Frozen Four title clash with the University of Denver. Named the Most Valuable Player at the 2017 NCHC Frozen Faceoff
New front office, new trends...
Forward turning 24 this year, who knows how to score timely goals
Got the Game winner with 2.6 seconds left in the Frozen four tourny,
(the lost in the final though)

Those that morally object should state that is the sole reason why they wouldn't want him back since he paid his dues to society via his jail time, had to self-deport and was suspended for an entire season and--not sure--might still be suspended.
I did not have an issue with him coming back after serving his sentence; however, I'm now more of the belief that the ship has sailed and just moving on is the best bet unless they can bring him back and then trade him for something.
Can't imagine Luc/Blake bringing him back for one of their first moves. The have ZERO capital to play with right now when it comes to something like this while Lombardi still had plenty of goodwill in the Summer of '15 when they were trying/expecting to have him back.
I have no problem with the Kings bringing him back. If they're gonna do it they need to get straight to the point and not try to peddle some watered down, attorney drafted BS press release. They need to say he's paid his dues, regrets what he did, and we want him back because he makes us better. I don't want anything other than that. Own it and move on.
He would make the team much better and that's all that's relevant. The Kings aren't a ****ing charity like many believe, they're a business and the goal is winning. Bring him back if everything lines up. I don't really care what the virtue signalers think.

do you know anything more about his game ? Who he compares to ?
“He’s competing hard. Obviously he’s got great hands and his speed. He’s shooting the puck more, which is good. I think previous years he didn’t shoot the puck as much.
“Good players are satisfied with certain things, and great players want to get better. They get three goals, they want four the next game. Those are the things I see that he’s kind of grown into as the year has gone on.â€
“When he stepped on campus and I saw him on the ice for the first time, I knew he was a special player,†Raskob said. “There’s things he does that other guys aren’t able to do. I think this year, it’s just been one of those seasons for him when he’s finally put it all together. He’s playing on another level. It’s unbelievable. It’s fun to watch for me and to have one of my best frieds doing stuff like that is special.â€
The Ontario Reign also added a prospect. Nice to see the Kings getting busy by restocking the severely depleted pipeline.

He's an interesting one. Former 3rd rounder by the Rangers, never quite put up a big 22 goal season again until his overage season as a captain this year when he blew up. I don't see anything about him getting redrafted, and it appears he was at least in camp for the Wild, so he just never stuck anywhere. Maybe a late bloomer, maybe nothing at all, but this would be a guy I would have tabbed as a DL special previously, big kid, captain pedigree, production late, we take a chance on guys like this. Good depth at worst, I like it. More free stuff!

Update on LA Kings coaching search - sources tell us mgmt is interested in Denver's Jim Montgomery. He just guided DU to 2017 NCAA title.
