Couple of USHL titles as a coach too.

Nice Reg Dunlop move in his last year of playing in the UHL...assistant coach while also putting up 47 points in 42 games.

Looks to have been pretty successful the past three seasons at Denver. Actually, he's been pretty successful at all coaching levels so far.

Maybe Stothers will be promoted and he's going to Ontario.

I don't think that is likely. Pretty certain it was mentioned on Sportsnet a few weeks ago by Freedman or Kypreos that a few NHL clubs would be looking at him as a HC candidate depending on who gets **** canned this offseason.

I think there is a decent chance he will be behind a bench as an NHL head coach come fall time.

I would mind him in LA as long as he doesn't turn out to be like a Dave Hakstol. He's been pretty bad thus far in Philly.

Eden's Alex Iafallo signs with Los Angeles Kings after collegiate career at Minnesota-Duluth: http://*******/2oGmTvZ

another Duluth product, makes me happy and proud. Hoven also tweeted LA was talking to one of UMD's defenseman also about a contract, Neal Pionk another unsigned prospect.

they need to keep an eye on this kid also, Nick Wolff who is a freshman at age 20. another late bloomer that has come up through the USHL. a big kid at 6'3" and 215, strong skater, quick reads and loves to bang.

Iafallo could be another Trevor Lewis type if he pans out, he is a late developer though. It's really difficult to forecast those types of guys.

This is smart of the Kings. Sign as many college free agents as possible to replenish our prospect pool. There is no downside to doing so, and by miracle, maybe one of them will turn out to be a productive regular NHLer. Essentially a free draft pick.

agreed. If nothing else maybe one could turn into a tradeable asset.

Young? Free agent? European? KHL ALL STAR?

Mersch will be traded to the Panthers for a fifth round pick, all hell will break lose on this board, and he'll end up scoring 3 goals and playing 25 games before leaving for Yurope.

When I see those names, I fondly think back to the likes of Tomas Vlasak and Jaroslav Bednar. Two guys Dave Taylor tried to force to play LW with Palffy and Stumpel.

Oscar Fantenberg thoughts...

He turns 26 in October. I am thinking from his perspective, it would be better
to stay where he is, or go back to Sweden, rather than play in Ontario, AHL.
Just makes me wonder if they are telling him he has a good shot at being on the
Kings. He's coming off 2 big seasons, stats wise and an allstar selection.
His last year in Frolunda, had 10 points in 16 playoff games, which are huge offensive
numbers for a defenseman in SEL.

LH shot. Makes me wonder if they are planning on moving Muzzin and / or Martinez.
With cap issues and having to sign Toffoli, Pearson, and if they are planning on moving the 4 million Muzzin or Martinez for a forward and moving in a 1 mil? Fantenberg.

Seems like a decent strategy, signing a top college free agant in Iafallo and a top Euro defenseman in Fantenberg - rather than signing scrubs like Purcell, Latta, Trotmans of the world.

Also, they may be expecting to lose LH McNabb to Vegas as well. In any event, I hope Gravel is slotted to be fulltime next year.

Building assets in case they move a left hand D man. If he goes to ONT, he can replace Schilling. Pretty accomplished player so imagine he is fighting for a spot on the Kings.
