I know everyone is going to be acting like the sky is falling after 2 straight losses, but it is worth pointing out that the Lightning are a legit top 5 team in the league that are only in a wildcard spot right now because of some bad luck.

We shouldn't have been expected to win either game, but it definitely still stings.
Top 5 teams leaving players all alone in front at 2-1 and 3-1 Tampa is fine. Much like us.

Preview of what the playoffs would look like against a veteran team...

1. Cant score/not enough depth
2. Poor start
3. Poor special teams
4. Too many passengers

We aren't as good as Tampa Bay.

If we met them in the playoffs we probably go out in 5-6 games.

This team isn't a contender yet, which no one should be surprised by.

We don’t finish plays. We don’t possess the puck at high speeds we do t undress goalies or opposing players. Really do we ping the puck around crisply.

I don’t know what everyone is so touchy about other than they thought we had an uber talented team. We don’t. It’s a team that’s wins needs to win by committee and hard work and stingy defence. That’s what it is. Nothing wrong with that. We can’t defenitely make the playoffs and win a few round with this team
Why is it touchy? You make 40 posts a game about how everyone sucks offensively, which you are free to do, and people don’t agree.

Yes if you add a play driver then you start making use of the skillsets we have as it creates space on the ice. Players don’t exist in a vacuum, a lot of our guys have specific areas in which they excel but this roster has players that don’t always complement one another. Saying they have no skill is an oversimplification.

If this was the playoffs, they'd be coming home for the next 2 games of the series.

Well, this is sad but predictable. With Norris and Pinto out of the line up, Sens just don't have enough offense. Let's hope they're back soon.

Will need more offensive punch. Or just punch to close out the season.

How best players need to be able to carry the team, they can't seem to rise to the occasion. Tkachuk, Stutzle, Sanderson, Batherson and Giroux a combined -10 tonight.

We're missing some key pieces in our lineup, so not surprising to see back to back losses.

Hopefully after 4 Nations both Norris and Pinto are back healthy and we're good to go on a long run.

I said no explosive offensive talent or just dominating talent. They all have skills. And none of them have the skill to take over a game or every shift their on the ice. Some teams don’t.

To me this team just looks like a team waiting for that juggernaut.

They all have valuable skills that lend to a strong team game and stingy defence. Which is great.

I mean we don’t even have a guy that can take over at 5 on 4 lol. We don’t have a guy that can obliterate an opponent when we are a MAN UP.

And im
Not saying go make a massive trade. We’ve been dealt the cards we’ve been dealt. Dorion was the biggest idiot the league has probably ever seen.

I think we need to find a cherish guy who can snipe a puck and support tim. I want mangiapane. So I’m not living in fantasy land where we land mcdavid.

5-1 is what it is

It was a 1 goal game with under 5 mins to go until a fluke shot deflects off Zub and in.

And EN goal from a clear that took a funny bounce off a stanchion and a garbage time goal doesn't really change how close the game was in reality.
Missing centers 2 and 3 yes likely this is what it would look like.
What it looked like was a one goal game in the dying mins of a game, despite us missing two centers, we kept it close and could just as easily have tied it up had it been us getting the fluke puck luck instead of Point.

Wings have a game in hand and a point behind us.

This break cannot come soon enough. This team as a whole is banged up and out of energy. Staios needs to get us some help, and we need bodies back.

We let in 5 goals. The empty net okay I can actually concede taking that way. 4-1

Our strength is depth at center, that was wiped out and turned into our weakness with two injuries that came at the worst possible time.

Frustrating as hell, one of the hottest teams in the league and then you drop two games to an obviously experienced team playing catch up and give them 4 points instantly unsecuring what could have been a massive 4 points the other way. holy hell that sucks

You could also recognize that it was indeed a one goal game with under five to go. It's funny how if it's us scoring those goals, you'd be first to say they were meaningless stat paddlers and not indicative of how we played, but here we are.
