Game one for in the QMJHL playoffs for #LAKings prospect Valentin Zykov. Gatineau won 4-1, Zykov with 1 goal, 1 assist, and +4.

Jacob Middleton and Alex Lintuniemi each scored a goal in Ottawa's 8-2 win. Ottawa has a 2-0 series lead and has outscored Niagara 16-7.

How good is this kid?

I've only seen his numbers but it looks like he's another one of those mid-round steals.

He's a two way center, playing on the top line of the 2nd best defensive team in the OHL. Very solid passer and good on the boards too.

I had him ranked just outside the top 10 Kings prospects at the beginning of the season.

I made a shift by shift video off one of his games last year if you want to see his style of play.

Now that St. Cloud St season over do Kings sign Brodzinski, and add him to Manchester's lineup? anyone know or heard anything
From day one Brodzinski has said he wants to stay and graduate. I believe the Kings offered him the rookie max last season and he turned it down. That being said, I think the Kings will sign him if they offer to burn a year of the ELC.

It will be interesting to see what happens. The Kings have their ways and examples of how they both like things to work and what happens if a player refuses to play ball. I am sure something will get worked out.

Yeah, like Jonny playing his senior year! ;)

From all accounts, Brodzinski really likes the Kings organization and obviously has friends playing for the Monarchs. He has every rea$on to leave, but don't be surprised if he stays to graduate. I'm sure they'll support his decision either way, but I can almost guarantee that both Gravel and Dowd are advising him to stay in school. We'll see.

When Amadio was in Bantam, he averaged more than 3.4 points a game, which was #2 best alltime in that league. They won the championship too.
This means he always had incredible offensive skills among his peers, but the next level, has taken more time and harder work to emerge at the OHL level.

Hey, PJB! :)

Exciting to hear about the prospects' development.

Hope you're doing good! Yes, back to 5 posts, from 17 gazillion. My laptop died a few months back and had my pw saved on it...I tried to guess it over a months time...and could not reset it, as my account was created about a decade ago and that email that I created it from, was hacked and gone a long time ago. Moved my biz from Denver to Florida and hate t here...will move back to Denver soon. Moved there from LA in 2006.
At least I got to see the Kings 1 or 2 times in Denver. This will be my first year, not
seeing a live Kings game since 1972.

Sorry for your guys loss but happy for our gain. Sooner rather than later I hope to see Jonny in a Kings uni putting up points.

Gone to games 3 & 4 of the IceDogs-67's series and man Alex Lintuniemi is a stud.. saw him in Ottawa around January but he has impressed the hell out of me the past couple games. Smooth skating, big, physical, great first pass, being used in all situations. Looks like a good one.

looking at Brenden Kotyk from UMD.....i don't see any draft info for him. anyone have anything?

i only see he was invited to the BHawks prospects camp last summer

big 6'5" 225 D with a RS. 23 years old and sat a year to transfer, so he's overage

watched a few Bulldogs games and the kid looks nice, could be a good late round overager for Futa to go after.

Looked like a little bit of a reach at the time, a 2nd round pick and not alot of experts had him ranked that high. However, I think his development might've played a part in the Kings being ok with moving McKeown. He's developed into a solid DMan, I've kept a close eye.
