Almost nobody receives and A. With that said, I think the vast majority of the ratings are worthless, so I wouldn't worry about it

Good post Jason, I do understand how difficult it must be. You guys do an incredible job here and I hope my post didn't come off negatively. Go Kings

No way man, it's totally understandable. You aren't the first and won't be the last when it comes to people questioning our ratings. They can be super ambiguous and leave a lot to be desired.

How good do you guys think Prohorkin is? And what are the odds he comes over and plays with the Kings? If he does when?

A lot of us consider him a top-five prospect in the organization.

As for the other two questions, ask five people and you'll get five different answers. I believe that he'll eventually come over, but not necessarily next summer after his current contract expires. Reason being, I think the Kings want him to spend at least a year in the AHL -- hopefully they're not so stubborn -- and Prohkorkin, understandably, won't want to given what he can make in the KHL. I'm hoping the Kings will eventually come to their senses and allow Prokhorkin to skip this development system and not lose a guy who will become a top-six power forward in the NHL.

I honestly feel the Kings got a STEAL, and should be the Kings Top prospect, I see him for sure a 2nd line Center with 1st line potential...He is not even 18 yet...
I hope you are right, I like him too but I'm on the fence.

Too often you see scandinavian prospects fail because they were big at a younger age already. They looked good because they had a huge advantage.

The 'matured fast guy' is always a problem with evaluation but not sure that works with Kemp. Guys 17 and in the Swedish Elite League. He's not playing with prospects.

Lauri Tukonen was a 17 year old who played with men too.

No but neither were Tukonen, Karlsson and a bunch of of players from that great WC -U20 team from some years ago.

Many are playing in the SEL/SweHL/SM Liiga at a young age but have problems to establish themselves in the NHL later on.

You and Kings'Pawn move make good and now terrifying points. :help:

Hopefully he'll be more Kopitar then Tukonen!

The KHL season started on Thursday, and Prokhorkin was held off the scoreboard for CSKA's 4-1 win.

Prokhorkin had 2 assists in CSKA's 4-3 win. He's no longer a bust because he scored a point, and is now back on track to his hall of fame career ;)

Kempe with a goal and an assist in his second game of the season.

Kempe with a goal and an assist in his second game of the season.

Looking at the highlights, he had a nice looking unassisted goal. Rushed down the ice after blocking a shot and toe dragged the puck through a defender.

But lord almighty what an awful defensive team.

Quick Kings Prospect Question. Was going over the Kings main camp roster (and the rookie camp roster) and noticed that Andrew Crescenzi, despite being under contract this season to the Kings, is nowhere to be found on either list, what is the deal?

What is the Kings organizational depth like on defense? Where do you think Kurtis MacDermid will play this season, is an overage year possible? I think with his size and strength he could at least play in the ECHL but I'm not sure what the Kings have in mind.

Overage year is a possibility, but ECHL is more likely. No real room in the AHL for him.

I don't know. Maybe injured?
