Trying to catch lightning in a bottle. It reeks of desperation.

Yeah, I mean, objectivly, they are obviously trying to find a "Avery" type that can inject some energy to the big club. And I don't mind searching in the regions they seem to be searching. Just because I think these guys got kind of a short life-expectancy and they value tend to go up really fast. If you get a Anthony Stewart after getting a golden opertunity in Philly to play on a scoring line on a high scoring team, you have to give up a ton. Stewart is a good player, but you should be able to find his spark without his scoring touch outside the NHL.

But, I do wonder if they really has paid their dues when scouting these players.

Who cares if he doesn't get along with Beach. It's not like beach is some great stud.

Well, the reason for concern isn't around how it would affect Beach, but the fact that you're introducing conflict into a locker room when the team is already struggling. Why add conflict? Are there not other ****** fourth liners that don't have a history with someone already on the team?

It's all irrelevant, really, if it was in fact a food fight. Then they're both just morons.

I mean, sometimes you need some conflict. Make people uncomfortable in practice and make them up their compete level.

I don't disagree, but I'm not sure this is one of those instances. The Pack don't suck because they're not playing hard, they suck because there's not a lot of "ready" talent and they're poorly coached.

They're both morons regardless.

This is true.

This is true.

They aren't poorly coached at all. They just have a lot of young raw players who have a lot to learn

I agree on the latter, but disagree on the former. They are young and raw, there's no disputing that. That's why I said they're lacking in "ready" talent. However, I don't think that Gernander is particularly good at what he does. I'm not sold that he's the one to teach those young guys with lots to learn. I haven't been for a few years.

Aliu huh? Guess the Pack can't get much worse than they are now.

Doubt he'll ever see the NHL again but there's no real down side for the Pack. Don't know if anyone here read Future Greats and Heartbreaks but it has some interesting insight into Aliu's early life and time in the CHL

Just once I wish i could enter a thread the day someone is signed in the organization without a wall of fights on YouTube :sigh:

Why's Gernander's coaching a problem? Just wondering, I don't see the Pack often.
