I was trying to contemplate why his deke is so effective.... More often than not he gets the goaltender to commit to the one side and then has a pretty good opening with which to shoot. I guess he sells it really well?
Many of the players stickhandle/deke and the goaltenders just don't buy it and remain squarted to the shooter....
I guess a lot of it comes down to the players subtle body movements in addition to the stickwork.....
It's that and also the fact that he came in with good speed and during an actual game situation it's usually easier to score on a breakaway because the goalie has no time to think at all. I watched the replay of the move a few times and it didn't even seem like Zucc "sold it" that well but obviously Anderson bit regardless.
It's an old video on youtube where he explains how you need to use your whole body in the fake. From the Frisk days. What is extra cool is how he does it veery sutble in slow mo in the shoot outs. Propable takes peak down left and puts it up rightI was trying to contemplate why his deke is so effective.... Sens goal , was not Zucc badly misplaced there ? It almost looked like 5 vs. 4 when Zucc was behind the goal
But anyhow, he made up for that mistake by scoring later
No, it was a battle for the puck which Rangers won, Pouliot failed to clear the puck following that. Zucc moved infront of the net to cover the near corner for Talbot on the shot. The goal blew over Talbots glove and into the goal off the far post.
I noticed that the Norwegian newspaper mentioned the same thing, which is a bit comical. They cant actually be watching the games, just the highlight reel, which doesnt tell the story at all.
It is amazing that he makes the same move 80% of the time and 80% of the times he make it, it works.
And I too am surprised that finally after all the annoying hyping from some people here that he really looks like he belongs.

Rangers broadcast said the same thing.
He was out of position.
Hard to overhype a guy who was a positive contributor to his team the very moment he stepped onto NHL ice. Never understood the hate.
He deserved the praise then and he deserves the praise now. It's a miracle he didn't say **** the Rangers and go sign with a better team after his first stretch of games here.
Out of position cause Pou lost the puck.
He was not as far as I can remember. Most Zooks fans just said that he could be a .5ppg player if given a chance and pointed to his history where he did average .5ppg in the games he played.
It was a 1 on 2, where was the puck support?
Zucc supported the D behind the net. Pou got the puck and tried to carry it out of the zone. Maybe he should have passed it behind the net? I dunno. Still I think its incredible that some posters are whining about one goal against in a 4-1 victory. The team played well. That should be the focus.
There were lots of people on this forum that were more upset when Dale Weise got hijacked by Vancouver than when Zuke left.
Says a lot.

They are watching the games. Which means they pay someone to sit up till 5 AM and write a story.
Surely they could pay someone to wake up early instead of making them stay up all night? Damn but Norway's press needs to form a union...
I said it in GDT but MZA's play reminds of Fleury in the way that he goes after the puck without fear and retaliates hard and fast if someone tries to push him around, it's great to see
Think newspapers have people working around the clock? That's how they end up on your door early in the morning? I bet the sports sections are following the games live on a big screen during the night, while they cut and paste the soccer news from English tabloids in the commercial breaks. Or they could even have their US correspondant watch it maybe, in a DC bar. Must be a great job.
