Why are there so many Prospect Police in here?

It's turning a fun thread to read into real annoying. Thanks to those putting the lists together of their young guns that are up and coming.

If the first post said to keep the number of games as a certain amount or lower, I get it... But that's not the case here
personally it's more annoying when people list a player as a prospect who isn't anymore. Once you're no longer calder eligible you definetely aren't a prospect, personally once you reach 25 games you no longer are but if they're still in the rookie year it's okay to list.

I'd definitely have Robertsson in there with his solid SHL production so far this year. Hopefully he can show well in the WJC.

Call me crazy but having watched Rossi at the pro level, I'd rather take most of the players listed under him, ahead of him. Think that illness really did a number on him. Very good pool regardless.

I don’t think your take would be very controversial on the Wild board.

Personally I think he is a wing, at least at this point in his career. There are only a handful of Cs his size in the league. Let him use his skill and vision without being focused on the defensive responsibilities of a C. I also think Guerin & Evason are hard nosed guys and Rossi is a more senstirive type and there was some tension there that may have impacted his performance.

That is…just not true at all.

Honorable mentions is posters trying to humblebrag about how many good prospects their team has and get around the top 10 list. They just list all their bottom tier draft picks that every team has. Happens every time.
some of this prospect pools are so shallow, that mentioning of more than two prospect could also be considered humblebraging.

Agreed. Who cares if someone lists a prospects with a few more games played than someone else? We can all look at these lists and form our own opinions. No team or poster wins anything based on what gets added to this thread.

There are lots of writer prospect rankings out there with different age/game cutoffs. People are inventing their own age/game cutoffs beyond any of those. Since you think there should be no rules, I will go with.

1. Adam Fox
2. Kaapo Kakko
3. K’Andre Miller
4. Alexis Lafreniere
5. Filip Chytil
6. Braden Schneider
7. Brennan Othmann
8. Vitali Kravtsov
9. Zac Jones
10. Will Cuylle

Surprised no one has taken a crack at :canes. Here goes mine.

1) Alexander Nikishin (D)
2) Scott Morrow (D)
3) Aleksi Heimosalmi (D)
4) Jack Drury (C)
5) Gleb Trikozov (LW)
6) Ryan Suzuki (C) (finally coming back after an eye injury I believe)
7) Jackson Blake (RW/C)
8) Justin Robidas (C)
9) Noel Gunler (RW)
10) Ville Koivunen (W/C)

I'm going to be an asshole and go to 15

11) Jamieson Rees (C)
12) Vasili Ponomaryov (C)
13) Cruz Lucius (RW)
14) Massimo Rizzo (C)
15) Anttoni Honka (D)

I wanted to include Pyotr Kochetkov (G) as he's only played a handful of NHL games, but at the same time he's our #1 goalie right now. I don't think we'll send him down, so I didn't include him. He's 23, which is old for a prospect but not for goalies.

Our prospect list is extremely deep, but we have few blue chippers.

i'm not sure if there's a good comp for lohrei, he's kind of a unicorn. 6'4" defenseman with some silky offensive skills.
was a forward for much of his hockey life and converted to defense, so still very raw as far as learning how to defend.
If he has a mean streak this sounds like Big Buff

some pre-WJC fun.

Looks to me some organizations badly need some talent injection from the 2023 draft.
