I mean… yeah kind of have to do this. It’s so much stuffFrom Montreal
Reinbacher or Mailloux
Owen Beck
Adam Engstrom
CAL/FLA 2025 1st
Habs 2026 2nd + Columbus 2026 2nd.
Josh Anderson for salary matching
Deal is only valid if he agrees to a long-term extension with Montreal first.
2025 1st
2026 2nd
Willander
Hoglander
I personally do this because I think the Canucks should go for it during Demko's prime and cheap contract but I also believe that Willander will be better than Dobson in 3 or less years
From Montreal, one of our young D and young forwards. Maybe the Flames first? Although that sounds a bit much. Struble and Kapanen?24 year old RHD in the last year of his RFA deal. Scored 70 points last year on a team no one would confuse for an offensive juggernaut. Very bad in his own zone.
Islanders most likely looking for a hockey trade for a similarly aged and valued player, or slightly below with value made up by prospects/picks.
HahahahaPettersson is closer to being Huberdeau than Dobson is to being Ekman-Larsson
This is so bad for both teams.Panarin 11.6+ x 2 retained 5.6+ to 6 even
Trouba 8 x 2 retained 3.0 to 5 even
for
Dobson + raty
presumes both waive b'c LI is close enuf
bread not sniffing 11+ w/Rs
he will not leave now -- local NJ/LI possible exception -- but will waive before last min to avoid ugly look if he is not extended
Trouba has been good but we have elc Mancini + want cap space
next season, his wife finishing current commitments, Trouba nets nice return prob from DET
bread you get dibs on if you want to extend and how much, and
if you need a short term cap dump for balance, we may be able to add
I acknowledge forgetting Raty was dealtThis is so bad for both teams.
Islanders want futures - whether it's top picks, top prospects, or young roster players. They aren't looking for next year bounce back in the scoring department only. Panarin's next deal is completely irrelevant to his current deal. He's needed on NYR for offense and you can't get around that by grabbing another solid dman, one that most likely doesn't take Fox's powerplay time. He'd become another Miller in the lineup when you're not even using him to his fullest ability. You don't blow your open window because one of your highest valued players will stop being valuable when the contract runs out.
Also, and I'm sure it's been brought up within the rest of the responses - Raty isn't in their organization anymore.
Habs shouldn't be in on this if he's as bad defensively as some are stating in here.
Didn’t watch that one game but none of his deficiencies have anything to do with the PP. Hes a top ten PPQB at the very worstMan, that Kreider shortie really broke the fanbase. You guys looked like the better team most of the game.
