How'd that work out for him?But remember, Bruins had to trade Hamilton because he wouldn't play in the USA.

Both, well except the half player, we already had JFK.Gotta pay the man what he's worth. Would you rather have one Charlie McAvoy or two and a half Nick Folignos?
So he picked......Jersey????? He really liked the Sopranos? Big Springsteen fan?Guess he didn't like Canada either.
I'm curious to see what the bruins do with Charlie. I'm not a fan of weakening the rest of the line up on one player.
I wouldn't be surprised the bruins trade Charlie should the asking price impact the overall team make up.

I want a lot more than a 3rd for JDB even with Moore going the other way.John Moore + Jake Debrusk to Seattle for 3rd
Sign Kyle Palmieri to a 4 year 19 million deal (4.75 per)
Sign Eric Gudbranson to a 1 year 1 million per
Marshy-Bergy-Palmieri
Hall-Coyle-Pasta
Foligno-Haula-Smith
Frederic-Nosek-Lazar
Studnicka
Forbert-McAvoy
Reilly-Carlo
Gryz-Gudbranson
Vaak/Zboril/Clifton
Ullmark
Swayman

You need both, you pay your superstars and if you do it right you have money for depth. Anybody have faith in Sweeney doing that.

We won a cup, he was well worth it.In todays dollars, when the Bruins signed Chara from Ottawa it was for $13million a year.
We would be lucky to get a bag of pucks / 12 rolls of tape and 24 water bottles for JDB and Moore.I want a lot more than a 3rd for JDB even with Moore going the other way.
If you want to free up 6.3 mil or so in cap space you will probably have to give both away for nothing. This money could then be used for a 2c. Not convinced you can even move them at all right now.We would be lucky to get a bag of pucks / 12 rolls of tape and 24 water bottles for JDB and Moore.
The best thing that can happen is JDB gets hot and scores like 10 goals in 20 games, then we trade him when his value is high.
Bon Jovi, New Jersey Giants and Jets and Downtown Newark. What's not to like?So he picked......Jersey????? He really liked the Sopranos? Big Springsteen fan?
He had a bad year for sure, but he is a proven 20-25 goal scorer and only 24, don;t want another Reilly Smith type deal, I would trade him yes, but not giving him away. Moore well if he gets back to playing again, some team will need help on D and we could get a mid to late pick for him.We would be lucky to get a bag of pucks / 12 rolls of tape and 24 water bottles for JDB and Moore.

So a team already down a center would benefit from losing another one?I wish Sweeney would get Coyle to give his 10 team no trade list and move him. I know it won’t happen but man that would be great for us.
If you use Coyles money towards a number 2 center then yesSo a team already down a center would benefit from losing another one?
If he would waive, trade him straight up for Dvorak or Hertl.I wish Sweeney would get Coyle to give his 10 team no trade list and move him. I know it won’t happen but man that would be great for us.
I think folks are underestimating Coyle as 2C. He had a bad season this last season, I grant you.
But he was a 50 point guy on Minnesota playing higher in the lineup. With guys like Nino instead of Hall and not relying on PP cheese.
The difference is that Krejci drove the points on his line. Coyle ain’t that guy. He is going to get his points working hard in the zone and giving the other guys on his line chances just by having the puck in the offensive zone.
But they don’t need him to be Krejci. HALL is Krejci. But much like with the Krejci line of the last few years…it’s short another offensive talent. Smith is fine, mind you. He isn’t a Kuhlman. But the lineup looks better with Smith on the 3rd line.
Of course, if DeBrusk rebounds…maybe you already have your Smith on the third line…
must be focused on winning. Like when Clemens signed with Toronto after saying he wanted a chance to win.

If I recall correctly, he said he wanted to be closer to family, which is total BS since he went to Canada.must be focused on winning. Like when Clemens signed with Toronto after saying he wanted a chance to win.
