OT: The Music Thread Part Xi

I loved this at the time.

But I always love most about Roth was his inimitable sense of humor. We could use that these days,

I never followed his solo career nor VH after he left. I just couldn’t bring myself to even listen to them. So disappointing to see the end of an awesome band. You’re right about his sense of humor. He was also the best front man ever not named Ozzy Osbourne.

He’s also a very interesting guy outside of music. He’s a paramedic among other things It’s been a life well lived.

Pretty good.

There's a story in one of my Bowie books that had Roth strutting about atired in his usual fashion.

Some fashionable bar or restaurant in NYC.

Ross goes up to the table where David and others are seated, and launches into a 10-minute spiel about what I am not certain.

No one at the table, apparently, knew nor cared who he was. After some time in uncomfortable silence, Diamond Dave slunk away.

He goes on long rants about Wolfgang Van Halen among other things. He’s a very interesting and intelligent character.

Speaking of Van Halen. The guy who owned/managed my favorite record store game me this HUGE Fair Warning poster like 42 years ago. He said “I know how much you like them. Here, take this.” It had probably been hanging there for a couple years. It had to be like 4 feet by 4 feet. It looked just like the album cover. Sadly, it was so big I never hung it up. Even more sadly I don’t know what became of it.
I may have said this before, but to me anyways, Fair Warning was VH best album.
