As bad as the Czech power play is, maybe don't keep giving them opportunities?

It was a really marginal call...no way do I make that call that late in the game...the latest call is not much better

The is a minor hit legal lottery strikes again, nobody knows whats allowed.

The Czechs are going kitchen sink too early here...they're going to attempt a break and get someone caught...no need to do that down 1 with 4 left

Americans gonna have to finish their chances against the Canadians or they won’t have a shot

Canada basically treeing all tourney and the US struggling you just know the law of averages will flip and that game will be 2-1 in an SO. It just feels like shoe drop mode is going to hit just in time for that game. I do think its 80-20 Canada wins though

I think everyone knew that if the Czechs were going to pull off the upset, it was going to take something weird. Once they had the five-minute power play where they did absolutely nothing, the writing was pretty much on the wall.

This game was good for the tournament, it was exciting almost all the way, when a blowout was expected. Czechs with 4000 womens players vs USAs 80 000 players. Czech are on the move, thats for sure! The Czech federation are really promoting womens hockey!

I wanted the Czechs to win, but I also dont want to miss out on the Canada-USA finals, haha. So in the end this means one more epic final we can presume :)

Btw, I tried to win Katerina Mrazovas game worn jersey from the last worlds and got outbid for 700$. And the goaltender Peslarovas jersey sold for 1900$. The game is growing despite USA and Canadas intact dominance.

Dominik Hasek like performance, but no..... not happening guys... Americans are just too fast, too skilled and just much bigger than them.... wow... nice try Czech. They put their heart out, but in the end the Americans are just too good.

Give them credit, they gave it their all. They played strong hockey against a superior opponent. (*Applause *)

Nightly Curling Update:

In the same way Rachel Homan (mixed doubles) should have been left home (Kaitlyn Lawes was in the village twiddling her thumbs), Jennifer Jones is the weak link for Team Canada - AINEC.

Everyone keeps waiting for Jones to retire... and waiting and waiting and waiting. Adding Lisa Weagle as their 5th might be a sign Jones is finally ready to go after the Olympics. Sadly, it will likely be too late.

Canada's best chance to win Gold is for Jones to fake an injury and have a team of McEwen, Weagle, Peterman with Lawes as skip - it will eventually be Lawes team so make the change NOW.

Canada down 2 against Japan after 4. Come on, ladies.

Edit 1 : Canada down 3 after 5 - Jones final stone in the 4th and 5th were garbage and she allowed Japan to steal one in each end. Jones curling at 55%. :madfire:

Edit 2 : Canada down 3 after 7. Everyone but McEwen is playing awful.

Edit 3 : Japan (literally) giggled themselves to victory - they sure sounded like they were having fun.

As for Canada : McEwen was very good. Peterman got better as the game went on. Lawes and Jones were terrible.

An early loss is not good but even Hasselborg is struggling.

Top 4 teams (of 10) advance. Here's hoping Jones fakes an injury.
