True, i actually misread the information. In fact Finland needs a 3 goal win. My bad!Commentator now said 3 goal win is needed. It's probably that. Maybe who scored more goals if goal difference is tied (between SUI, ROC, FIN) or something like that.
Actually it's so confusing i got it right the first time. Finland needs a three goal win and im dumbTrue, i actually misread the information. In fact Finland needs a 3 goal win. My bad!
Edit: Actually it's a bit more confusing. If Finland wins with two goals and scores 4 goals or more, Finland will still finish third.

Yeah, the mistake i made was that i thought Finland scored three goals vs Switzerland instead of the two, which sent my brain spiraling out of control. Well, happy to get that sorted out!Yeah I think you meant that but said it in a bit confusing way in the first post.
Agree with everything but the only Czech goals were flukey. They shut it down! A magical knucklepuck and a reviewable play IMO on our other goal. They were definitely gassed and I've never seen a team purposely freeze pucks in 3 on 3. However, that was on the Czechs to counter that and they missed a lot of glorious chances.RIP to the Czech's. They played well against Japan, but they couldn't handle Japan's PP. I wish both teams got to face SUI/FIN/ROC, but unfortunately that's not how things work. Hopefully neither team gets slaughtered in their next game.
Japan truly is a one line team with Toko, Shiga, and Ukita (over 26 minutes each). Playing them on the PK too definitely shows a lack of depth for Japan. They were once again gassed at the end of the game.
Some head scratching decisions on the back end for Japan. They seem to refuse to go D to D on the outlet and instead forced several pucks around the boards leading to extended zone time for the Czech's. They should've made the Czech's chase instead of taking everything to a board battle, which is a lost cause given their size. They also look like they don't even know how 3 on 3 works. Several forced passes and dump ins when possession is the most important part of 3 on 3. What is the head coach of Japan even teaching these women? This is basic stuff.
Help me.. what are the FInn's trying to avoid with a 3 goal win?Yeah I think you meant that but said it in a bit confusing way in the first post.
If Finland wins Russia by three goals or more, they'll be 3rd in Group A (so... right where they were predicted to be despite being really, really underwhelming before now) and get to play Group B winner in the QF. Win by less or lose, and they get Switzerland - which some of us here apparently would prefer.Help me.. what are the FInn's trying to avoid with a 3 goal win?

Yep, since Wickenheiser declined it’s been Poulin. Probably around 2013-2014. By 2025 it’s likely Fillier though.
Good game, Canada. Well deserved. Excellent performance by your goalie and nice shot blocking. Hope to see you again in the gold medal game.
I thought Finland wearing the N95 masks would balance the matchup more, but apparently not.
Japan as long as 3 goal lead stays.I haven't been able to follow these games, just read how Finland has lost first three games. Who will we face after beating Russia? We will be third in the group?

Unbelievable. Linesman called too many men on ice AGAIN when goalie was pulled in Denmark vs Sweden. Second time this mistake happens already in the tournament.

To me it looked like a normal change and the 6th joined when the goalie came to the bench. Thats why they called it back. That should have been a penalty. Denmark had 6 skaters on the ice long before their goalie had left the ice.
