Oh yeah I agree. I have been wtaching this tournament for over a decade now but the reffing hasn't improved one bit. It's a disgrace. This year I think it has even taken a step backwards. Last year I thought the reffing wasn't too bad.

I more or less hate international reffing. I find more and more complaints with either the WJCs or the Olympics each year, it seems.

Everybody who is actually watching the game says the officiating is poor and Finland has suffered teh most.

Some US people who are listening the game claim otherwise based on USA hockey radio announcers

Maybe it's you who should lose not only the bias but commenting based on something you don't see eh?

Much better? Finland has been the better team 5 on 5, especially in the first period. But still they got all the penalties.

U.S is getting this one handed to them. I also think they possibly could have taken this one without the added help, but that is the game I would have wanted to see. Not this. Finland got served by Canada, that was a good example of a team winning on their own, being the better team. This game is definitely not the same. A very hard fought, even match...unfortunately one guy out there is not up to the challenge.

I don`t know Finland being much better 5 on 5 (there hardly is 5 on 5 ). Pretty even I would say. Finland couldn`t have created that much scoring changes, USA even fewer 5 on 5, but thet have capitalized them.

Referee is clearly the worst I have seen for a long time. Horrible, horrible Generally speaking maybe slightly favoured USA, but not so much that it would decice the game for USA.

i agree. I am really not sure about that but I tihnk that is part of the reason you get some really weak refs is because they don't go for the best refs, instead trying to get a ref from country A or country B so that they have an "unbiased" diverse group (so they don't have like half the refs being from Canada or Czech Republic). And if a ref from country B is not allowed to ref anymore games Country B might start complaining...

I understand but there has to be a better ref in Sweden than the guy they have reffing tonights game. Similarly, the guy from Germany that did the Canada Switzerland game. There has to someone better than that.

Great Game I sure hope this was a wake up call for these guys. Finland played really well wow that was close!
