I mean... Sure, but Im mostly a fan of prospects, be it drafted or not.
It also makes it much harder to correlate performance if like 75% of the top talent isn't there.

I don't think he will. He was rehabbing an injury during development camp last week. I take it he will ensure he is ready for Rookie Camp & Main Camp.

Dude has played alot of hockey this year. WJC training camp and a few games, split time between his respective teams in the who and then a memorial Cup run while being injured. He should probably spend the year just developing in the AHL

Probably because they have guaranteed spots if they decide to go. No reason for them to scrimmage in Slovakia.

I'm good with the Habs asking him to take the time to rest and prepare for camps.
I'd rather he is at the WJC in December, whether Mesar is in Kitchener, Laval or Montreal. I want them to loan him for the December tournament.

I don't understand... WJC is development, its playing hockey against the best of the best on the biggest stage. Its playing time added, its skills honed, its being battle tested. What could be gained from scrimmage and drills for two more weeks ?

Yes he isn’t making the team this year… this the kind of experience he need, he could get injured training… let him get the experience that will be beneficial to is future.
Same here... Why isn't a guy like Mesar encouraged to partake in the WJC, or Slaf for that matter?
