Alberta closes all indoor rinks until January 13, I assume WJC is still a go, but no announcement yet, that I’ve heard.

I'm sure the WJR protocols are far more strict than anything anywhere else in the province - minus hospitals and old age homes. So He says likely event will go ahead, so nothing set in stone yet.
Does that mean you're rooting against it?
There should be no testing of the players. They are all healthy 18-20 year old 1% athletes. There’s no reason to think they are at any risk. I’d rather not further ruin this tournament for a few health bureaucrats to be satisfied that they ruined what would’ve ended up being the most satisfying hockey experience of many of these kids careers. Undoubtedly more will get added to the list without good reason.
There shove been a protocol for all teams to test and then go into quarantine for 10 days then having another test before boarding a flight to Canada .Perhaps Sweden should have done a better job quarantining their players before now?
The guy who said that is full of shit
Yeah I dunno..
I was so excited for some hockey, but all integrity will be lost without the actual best players playing.
Why not postpone it? Have the tournament in May or something?
2013 had best on best and... 1997(?) - can't remember.Has there ever really been a year of this tournament with the actual best players all playing? Maybe 2005 I guess
All integrity lost is a huge exaggeration, in a regular year Lafreniere, Hughes, Dach, Seider and possibly Stuetzle wouldnt be playing in this tournament. If anything, this tournament being in an off year might have actually added some talent to the rosters
Got up and checked to see if there was any BAD news. None so far - no news is good news. Nice to see.
As Bob McKenzie said (paraphrasing), "This will change, day to day, hour to hour", so I don't want to be too happy.

My theory is .Has there ever really been a year of this tournament with the actual best players all playing? Maybe 2005 I guess
