Man I hope so. I’d love to see him in a Winterhawks jersey. I’ll make the drive down if this happens.
That would be cool, as far as I'm concerned at least. Used to catch a few Winterhawks games when I lived in Portland, so still a bit partial to the team...

Why would Brandon trade Danielson when they are in fourth place in the Eastern Confrence? They are 19-13. It would be a strange move

A lot of teams will do that with players they know they have for only one more year and try to get draft capital and players who will be at the team two or more years.

And completely sell out the season for this years players? They are in a playoff spot.

Because while they are better with Danielson right now, next year he won't be there, and what they get back goes along way to filling voids. Junior teams don't get the luxury of just being ok and having the team be back together next year.

Not trying to stir the pot even more, but Cleveland isn't in the lineup for Wisconsin for a consecutive game. Has anybody been following Wisconsin, is he injured? Mehlenbacher and Stange, however, are in against Brennan Ali and Notre Dame. Ali was really good in prospects camp, curious to see how he plays

@LGRWProspects on Twitter has been doing an excellent job with the prospect updates. Definitely worth a follow

I haven't heard anything about an injury. At this point I have to wonder if there is a work ethic issue with Cleveland. The Badgers had a defenseman, Tyson Jugnauth leave the program earlier this year. Mike Hastings said he fell down the depth chart because of "the work the other guys have put in".

There was also a rumor on a fan board Cleveland was thinking about bailing for the CHL so @Voodoo Glow Skulls might get his wish. Mind you this is all conjecture and regurgitating rumors on my part so that's that. Regardless, there has to be a pretty major issue a second round pick is sitting on the regular on a team with thin depth at the position.

Edit: Just found this little tidbit that came out 2 Days ago, "Wisconsin's corps of defensemen was down to six because of an upper-body injury to Brady Cleveland that Hastings said will keep the freshman out of the lineup for a "little bit longer."

Damn, nice find! Sucks he's injured, but happy to hear that it isn't out due to work ethic or any off-ice stuff. I think it would be best for him long term to stay at Wisconsin under Hastings. Wisconsin has improved so much this season

Was pretty high on Bicker entering the draft as a possible late round pick and excited the Wings snagged him. His WJC seemed pretty good for an underwhelming Germany team.

Anyone have any insight on him who has seen more than I? (Wasn’t able to watch every game and only watched highlights of most.)

Net front play, Germany scored i don't know how many goals thanks to Bicker's net front play. 3 goals in one game and maybe 2-3 goals in other games. He plays very close to goalie and i counted only one violation in the tournament. Liked to battle along the boards a lot, usually he was the first guy to go after dumped pucks. So gritty hard working game. He can still play in next years tournament, he should Germany's key player then.

So far it looks like Draper found a good one, hopefully Frankfurt's coach was also impressed and gives him more role. They are 3rd last in DEL, coach should start trying new stuff.

You guys who watch Griffins (i have only seen 3 games this year), how does Söderblom look? Big boy has scored at about 0.5ppg rate which is kind of dissapointing to me. I would love if he could take a bottom6 role in the show in the future.

When has a prospect ever left college to go to the CHL and had a successful NHL career? It's often a sign of a player being a total bust.

What? Are you saying Cholo isn't a success?

He might be injured now, but he was a healthy scratch earlier this season. It appears Jugnauth didn't like being part of the rotation of healthy scratches, and that's why he left. 10 pts in 10 games with Portland.

Didn't realize the Wings have 3 prospects in Wisconsin all putting up zeros, lol. Brady, Stange and Mehlenbacher. Gotta love those Draper picks.

Yeah...I'm starting to have major doubts about Draper running our scouting department. I know late round picks don't usually amount to much, but with as many picks as Detroit had from 2019 to 2022 (7 drafts worth of actual picks) our hit rate seems pretty low. And by hit rate, I mean prospects that seem to have real potential. I understand that not many late round players from 20, 21 and 22 have made it yet, but when compared to others Detroit's kids don't look as good.

Draper's strategy is to pick players just like him, you know, prospects that can be traded for $1. If he lumps all of his picks together and trades them, he'll be able to get a burger, fries, and a couple of beers at Miller's Bar. If he sells Brady, he might even be able to upgrade to onion rings, though I usually stick with the fries because they throw such a huge slice of onion on the burger.
