I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but Pasquale Zito, Detroit's 6th rounder in 2021, has decided to step away from hockey : Zito opts to leave Spitfires while Outwater set for season-ending surgery .

Djoos was quite the AHL player, way better than AlJo. He fell apart in the Stanley Cup run, and never put it back together.

But getting back to Djoos, the kid started 22 of 24 playoff games in the Caps playoff run, +2 despite being paired with one of the slowest D-man in the league at the time.... Orpik. Orpik was traded to the Avs as a cap dump after the Cup.

So Djoos was a lot better than you guys think he was, he fell apart because opponents started to target him physically like they did with Hirose. I can guarantee that teams will do the same to AlJo, the league already knows the Wings can't match physical play.

Screw you guys. I was a fan of Cholowski.

Coincidentally, there's a 6'2 smooth skating defenseman that has put up over a half point per game in the AHL over the last 2 seasons I think we should look at adding as a depth piece next year.

I just checked EP to confirm the stats of the mystery prospect I knew you were referencing… his brother’s name is Crusade? Sheesh, these kids’ make Chaz and Cruz Lucius sound like John and Jake Smith.
