Big weekend for the Badgers.

My man is pacing himself. Don't you worry about him. 5 years from now, he'll be badgering the Wings opposition.

I mean I am worried, kid hasnt scored a goal in 4 years and has 0 points this season.

He's a stay at home, PK, in your face D'man. He doesn't, nor will he, play the PP or be a top pairing on any roster. He has a long way to go, and time to get there.

Cleveland hasn't played in either game of the B1g tournament so far. I'm not finding anything about an injury either. That doesn't give me the greatest confidence as over half of Wisconsin's D-men are not even draft picks.

This is different to the situation when the boys were thirsty in Atlanta and there was beer in Texarkana. But I'll guess I will just watch Ole Brady Cleveland run.

Cleveland will become out 3rd pairing Hakanpaa level guy, every cup team needs one.

Edvinsson - Seider
Walman/Wallinder - ASP
Cleveland - Gibson

The only way Cleveland sees NHL ice is if he becomes a zamboni driver.

I've written the pick off, so I'm not worried at all.

Everyone always wants to point at [insert offensively inept defensive NHLer here] as if it means anything.

Hakanpaa scored over half a point per game in juniors.

Cleveland has the production of a goalie in juniors.

You should be picking up secondaries on accident if you can do anything other then yeeting the puck out of the zone.

Sadly, I think we need to get him into the lineup before we see any "secondaries on accident."

The clips above are why he was drafted. He needs to be able to skate well enough to play #6 minutes, with an upside top out of playing on the PK. That or #13 forward.

Sure, likely available at 147, but don't hate on the kid for that. Leave him at Wisconsin as long as possible, then onto the AHL. He just needs to thump heads w/o being too big of a liability. Looking at this team, that isn't a tall task.

Future HHOFer

Not a HHOF prospect in the system.

He was over drafted for sure, but as you pointed out, there is a reason he was drafted. In hindsight, he should have spent another year in the USHL, but that ship has sailed.

I want some of that Cleveland hopium, it can cure the world
I could use a big hit of it. In the here and now, I would love for him to be able to help my beloved Badgers as the NCAA playoffs approach.

I'm generally not a nay-sayer about a first year prospect but I haven't seen much to give me hope. I can look at, say, Dylan James and see some upside, even if he is questionable as a prospect.

I am not "hockey well" right now: my Badgers were eliminated from the conference tournament by lowly Zero State, the Wings current state needs no explanation, and a relatively high pick that affects both teams looks like butt. Ugh.
