Christo is back in the lineup.
Been advised that Abraham is back in too and he will be wearing a bubble to protect facial injury.
Aside from Nesbitt (susp),and Stewart (xtra) wonder who sits.
With Christopoulis in means Jodoin would be 1 who sits, the other I am guessing either Martin or Greenwell, I am going with Greenwell.

Better off not having 77 in lineup.

Jodoin is likely the odd man out, though he played well up front in the last game.

The fact he played up front last game shows they are moving forward with the D they will be playing in the future. Yes he played better up front but unless one of the other OA's is traded unfortunately his days are numbered.

Given he said after the game that playing forward was becoming second nature (or something along those lines), I took it more as his versatility and their injuries up front. If you've got a guy who can play any spot, and you're lacking in an area, you throw him into where he's needed the most. I agree that his days are likely numbered but having that utility-like asset on their club isn't a bad thing right now.

He's probably saying anything that can keep him around. He holds very little value and if it's not Windsor it might be it for his career. I mean if the OA was Struthers and Jodoin was the 19 year old it would be the same thing.

If Sudbury can't find a trading partner for Chromiak do you think Windsor will grab him off waivers or will they stick with who they have now?

I'm torn on this one. On one hand, its an upgrade. On the other hand, despite it being a business, at what point do you worry about building a reputation of "sign and cut?" I'm looking at this from the players POV. Say you're a 17 year old from Europe who's drafted by the Spitfires. You wonder what their history is like so you/agent/family do some digging. "oh, the last three guys that they signed and brought over were all cut and returned home. Why?" I'm going to ask questions and think twice because it's my career on the line, whether people agree with that or not.

Again, like I said, it's a business and decisions are made, but looking at it from another angle never hurt.

With all the hype over the team, ranked #9 in the country, and attendance in excess of 6000, would you be able to get me tickets to the next home game? I have not seen the Univ. of Windsor football team live, but the Lancers are generating quite the buzz.

Kassian just announced his retirement.
Sucks to see!! one of my favourite Spitfires, A Man amongst children when he played In the O, nice to see he carved out a decent NHL Career. Let's face it NHL is all about speed now and if you cant keep up your usually good as gone. Josh Bailey another good example, smart two way player with some skill still but just slow compared to others. Different game now.

67'S should be a good battle. Always a solid team. Spits need to play like they did against Saginaw or better to get these two points. Will be Interesting to see how the goalies play out, what game this week will Jarred Smith play Michilone in net?, Will the Spits play a structured smart game for consecutive games is my question I want to see answered, because that's what it takes in hockey to win, Consistency in Winning and effort. After that 3 game shartshow two weeks ago let's hope as they said they learned there lesson and there ready to play for the year. They NEED to have atleast a 4 point weekend.

Go Spitfires!!

I think the more important thing is getting productive imports. Baisov and Hebek were not good. The reason they weren't good isn't because of Windsor. It's because they weren't productive. I mean they could have been picked up by anyone. Do you think if they stuck it out with either player things would be different?

I’d grab him in a heartbeat , release JUDOIN and trade Dionico.

Some thoughts on the 1st period..

Good forecheck by Spellacy early in the period against Marelli after he lost the 1 on 1. Would like to see more strength from him before losing the puck there.

Cristoforo had 3 good low shots, one of which got tipped leading to an assist for him. Also liked the plays he made on the PK. Fast forecheck by 2 67's and he wrapped it fast and high off the boards... puck came back to him later in the shift and he gloved it out to the NZ to relieve pressure. A couple of zone exits as well.

Nice effort period by Morneau. 1v3 on the PK to kill time and the diving breakup on the streak pass as the first back man in transition.

2nd period thoughts..

4 penalties in the first 13 minutes is always going to be rough but only giving up one helps and the Spits are still in this one.

Good physicality from Greentree in his own zone to take the puck and Spits go the other way for a scoring chance. On the Spits PP he had a decent move to get to the top of the slot before passing off. Maybe should've had a chance of his own there but hard to say. He fanned on the one-timer when the puck came back around to him. Had a shot off the rush that missed the net (may have been last period tbf)

Spellacy active forecheck and good burst of speed through the middle to make something out of nothing a couple of times that period. Also had a good clear on the PK to alleviate the pressure at the end of 3 minutes of shorthanded time for the Spits.

Dionicio retrieves his own dump and chase and makes a hell of a move for a great individual effort goal.
