Well we will never know about the room but he won't be back for either next year so take the picks.
Agreed.

I agree the picks/return is more important moving forward. The room sounds fractured already from comments of player(s) wanting out. Maybe one disconnect is veterans seemingly not reprimanded for poor play/discipline and the younger ones have been catching it. That is not fair if that is the case.
Got to play a 200 foot game. Lots r not..

At some point, the room has to be taken into consideration. That's all I'm saying. You want to get into the playoffs and not anger everyone? Don't just trade everyone for picks and shrug it off.
It's a business.
U have to do whats best..
Not about feelings.

Who do you guys believe will be the next one traded from Windsor? Peer or Abraham?

I think some team will be very high on greentree too but highly doubt anything happens there obviously as we will be back next year too

It depends on which team will pony-up. Spits have few cards remaining so I expect a deal(s) involving draft picks or rights to unsigned players.

I'd do it for 1 2nd or 2 3rds. He may bring a 2nd and a young player or a 2nd and a 3rd. Remember Greentree was drafted later 2nd round 34th overall and what a gem he has been.

Peer could return more than Lockhart?

Lockhart situation had the Petes strapped. When you're forced to trade away a OA due to numbers game, the return is often lower than expected. Both thier offensive numbers are the same. A little over a point a game past 2 seasons. Peer is a center which draws a slight more return and one of the league's best skaters. Windsor doesn't have to trade Peer. A team would have to offer something decent or Bowler just keeps him. Some panic near trade deadline may open a teams wallet. That is my hope anyways lol

The Spits have been broken all year, and JS's hire seems to coincide with the downfall.

There are a few players playing to the beat of"I don't want to be here", so move them.

Bowler being on the bench, and in the room, will provide him with a better picture of what he should do.

Yeah I suppose timing could be a factor. The versatility edge goes to Lockhart though imo. He played every forward position last year as well as RD on PP and at times 5 on 5.

Spits are going with 7D and 11F today and Michelone gets the start vs hometown Ottawa.
Not dressed are Castle,Greenwell, Martin and Struthers.

74 could return more..
Could and yes he has had a very rough start but his potential is huge. You need to let a proper head coach and defensive coach work with him before you make a move for a player that has 3 more years here and potentially a top end player.

I understand moving the players that are done this year and maybe some that aren't OA quality players next year but you need to keep somebody to play next year and will show better under a different coaching staff.

I agree. If he was that valuable to the room as an OA, I think he’d have the C. Maybe they don’t want to name a captain just to trade him. If I was Bowler, I’d be open to all offers. I do agree that Peer has been a small shimmer of hope most nights, and I wouldn’t just move him for some mid round picks just to move him.

I don’t care if we get in the playoffs this year. I hate the Red Wings mentality of “oh look we got in the playoffs every year. We didn’t win anything but we were there”

I’d rather give our go and rebuild. We went the last two years, choked last year and well that’s junior hockey, time for a couple rough years and let’s do it again.

Jerrod Smith was Windsor since 2011… in those 10 years, there was only one of them we won a playoff series.

I’d rather finish 9/10 this year, bottom of the pack next and have a shot at home ice in 25-26 then just consistently be a 5-8 seed

Torres is on the pre-game, talking about how ice time is a privilege and you want to earn those opportunities.

They've had "two and a half morning skates" but not a full one since the coaching changes happened. They need a full one.

Bowler took in the 67s game yesterday. "When you're there live, you pick up certain different things." (compared to scouting video)

Re 11F/7D - "we've had some good play from some forwards, an opportunity to play them a little more. We also have a young defence core so this gives them some help (if needed)." Says it's important to let them fight and compete in practice to get more opportunities in lineup. "It's not easy (to get in), but when you get in, take advantage of the opportunity."

Agreed. While I get that Cristoforo isn't as physical as others, he's got so much potential otherwise that trading him right now could easily blow up in our face. He needs proper coaching, proper development, and to get his full confidence to where it should be. This club is building around the youth; why trade one just because he's not playing the way you want?

Appears that a lady in the stands was hit by a puck. Paramedics are attending to her. 5 min left in the period... may take an early intermission.

Edit: Game has resumed. 511 left 1p.

Windsor missing out on some glorious chances. Either too many passes or shooting wide.
Thinking too much.
Simple hockey Bowler!
