It's not going to be the same team from last year. We knew this all along. You can't go into camp expecting the same roster. The team shouldn't be embarrassed in the least by that.

What kind of reply is that? If you expected the same roster that's on you, not the team Enough of your snide condescending remarks.

Seems like someone was speaking on behalf of the fans again.
I guess it is the fans fault always it seems.

A total of 54 players are listed for this year's main camp
4 goalies,16D and 34 forwards.
This does not include the 3 players listed as injured or away, Vilardi, Brown and Crasa.

12 of 15 players drafted in this year's entry draft are listed-8F,4D
The ones not here are dmen Dominik Fensore and Evan Weber as well as injured forward Mathew Crasa. The 2 D were not expected, Fensore is with USNTP,and Weber appears headed to the USHL
Too bad about Crasa,he was expected to be here, assume he will show next season at the respective camps.
The 5 players the Spits chose in the Extra draft are all expected here,as well as the 2 Euros, and the 4 players acquired in trades.

Players who are not listed who played last year are forwards Jasper Forgrave and Maddux Rychel.
Dman Velan Nandakamuran is not here,as well as winger Devlin Shanahan and forward/ dman Bobby Burns.
The 17 year old Burns is the biggest surprise to me,he impressed last year at both camps, wound up playing RW at this year's camp instead of D, played well I thought, not great but was looking forward to seeing him here.
Don't know the reason, perhaps USHL is in play,or the family expected a guarantee prior to showing, like I said really don't know the reason, will try and find out.

I'm very interested in seeing how Gauvin does after his injuries. Kid deserves a break and this might be his shot.

By all accounts he played very well in Leamington last year, a big help in getting them back to the finals with his defensive game. Unfortunately on a team such as this, I'm not sure I see a spot for a guy like Gauvin at his age.

I think Gauvin is in tough, hasn't played much in the last 2 years, this may seem cruel but of the d here at camp I rate 10 guys ahead
They are last name only, Corcoran, McEneny,Nother, Staios, Brown, Henault, Stevenson, Carrick,Trifone and Starikov.
He might play an exhibition game otherwise I'm he will have to shine, hope he proves me wrong.

Seems to me that this training camp group has a lot of water bugs on it. They tend to shine in practices and early in camp but fade if the banging begins. Didn't check carefully but I think we only have 2 O/A with a shot to make the team. Both will be valued on Jan 10th.
I wish Gauvin luck as well. If he doesn't make it here, I hope he gets picked up by someone. With only 4 tenders at camp they will be worked hard.

Game certainly about speed now,and you are correct just 2 o/a-s in camp, Luchuk and McEneny. As for Gauvin,my guess is should he fail to land a spot on Windsor, doubtful any other team gets him.
Injuries have really stalled his development.

To show how much change/ turnover this organization is undergoing,of the 52 players scheduled to be here,35 of them are new to the organization,12 Free agents,19 draft picks and 4 players acquired in trades.
Of the 17 other players here,2 of them dmen Nick Gauvin and Thomas Stevenson were injured last year and did not attend camp. This does not include Logan Brown,Gabe Vilardi,Sean Day and Mikhail Sergachev who won't be here at camp.
Too bad outside of goalie Michael Dipietro not much star power at this year's camp.

You have to play well and earn your way to make the team.
Nobody should be handed a roster spot just because they have had some bad luck.

I'm curious about something...

I'd like to see Gauvin at least get some playing time, even if he doesn't make the main roster full time.

I'm very interested in seeing how Gauvin does after his injuries. Kid deserves a break and this might be his shot.

Where in this did I say Gauvin should be
should be handed a roster spot
?

I said I'm hoping the kid gets a break and is able to get some playing time, even if he doesn't make the main roster full time. He's been injured pretty consistently over the last two seasons. Seeing him play well enough in camp to get into an OHL game, even if it's pre-season, would be nice. That does not equate to "should be handed a roster spot."
