While his plus/minus is off, he has been on the ice for 106 Goals scored and only 74 goals against for the year.
He has a career low save percentage while on the ice. Part of that could be his lazy play at times but it is also a bit of bad luck.
He has a career high in takeaways and he does come back to play D more than he gets credit for.
All this and he is a 30 goal scorer and damn near PPG.
He would be the leading scorer on 13 teams and second on 9 more.( Granted he might lose a few points not being on the #1 PP)
I tend to think othereise. He might have more points. The PP runs through Marner and Matthews while Nylander would be the trigger man on almost every other team.
He also seems to score more off the rush away from Tavares as his speed allows him to vet in behind the D. Too often he will pull up looking for JT to get in the zone instead of just going to the net and shooting.
Away from JT he drives the net or shoots from 10 feet out.
