Perfect. Absolutely perfect.

Yostian in nature.

what does this mean for us? why is this perfect?

is this.... because we're all right handed hitters and that gives us the edge? do i remember something baseball related, because if that's so, that's better than a cookie

At the very baseline of it, right handed hitters have a match up advantage against left handed pitchers (and vice versa).

Couple that with the idea that the Blue Jays have a glut of outstanding right handed hitters (Donaldson, Bautista, Encarnacion, Tulowitzki, Martin, Colabello) who all destroy left handed pitching, and it makes you scratch your head a bit.

Typically lefty vs lefty, righty vs righty the pitcher has a bigger edge and lefty vs righty, righty vs lefty the batter does. Not always the case but typically. We have all right handed batters who smash the ball.

Late in games you'll see managers use the bullpen a lot to go to these advantages.

LOL. the second entry is probably just a place holder for the NYY-Astros winner. Should not have done this way though. :)

That's what I assumed. I'm guessing the times will change as well or are the Jays confirmed for 12 Thursday and Friday?

Hamels has reverse splits throughout his career and this years righties only hit slightly better against him than lefties. Id expect them to teeoff against Perez. Holland is a wild card, he can be really good or terrible. They should throw Gallardo game 1 Lewis in game 3. Holland in 4 if there is one.

Can easily get tickets for the games in Texas right now if anyone wants to undertake a short road trip in the next week.

EDIT - that Fox link looks legit. I'd love if the game was on at 8 PM EDT / 5 PM PDT. I'd be able to see the last 8 innings or so.

That 8 PM is a placeholder and is not confirmed

My INSIDE INFO of the day though is that if the Astros win the Jays will play at 8 PM (and somewhere in the 4:00 range if the Yankees win). That is also not confirmed

Sabathia will miss the postseason.

Is that why he was out for the latter half of the season? Or is it something that worsened while he was off and realized he needed help?

Either way kudos to getting checked in the get the help needed at a time he could have easily brushed it off to get playing in the post season.

Hope they get the 8 PM slot. That would work pretty well for me Thursday and Friday too actually.

Have the Jays announced their playoff roster yet? Sorry if I missed it
