Lambos, Spacek, and Masters are all at PPG in the CHL. Lambos, and maybe Spacek, are no surprise, but Master's 14 pts. in 14 gp matches his point total that he had last year in 65 gp. Spacek and Masters are both RHD- can never have too many of them.

Not to mention Spacek, Lambos and Masters are all overagers - so it's expected of them to be putting up points.Going a ppg in the CHL doesn't impress me with skaters. It's almost an expectation for me with mid round and higher picks.
Ehh, it's better than not going PPG, especially for Dmen.Going a ppg in the CHL doesn't impress me with skaters. It's almost an expectation for me with mid round and higher picks.

Kind of agree. If Masters wasn't going close to point per game, I'd think he wouldn't have a shot at being more than an ECHL level pro. Glad to see him doing it, finally. I would love to know what's changed for him, and if it'll translate to the next level. I don't get to watch him so I'd love to hear from anyone that does.Going a ppg in the CHL doesn't impress me with skaters. It's almost an expectation for me with mid round and higher picks.
Should be firing on all cylinders when the buyouts are up. If Kaprizov doesn’t want to stay, sign-and-trade similar to Tkatchuk (though he’ll return less at this point). I wouldn’t worry about that now, though. Everything with him so far has been a miserable process, so I can’t imagine he’ll resign easily, but that’s a problem for another day. Whether he stays or not, it shouldn’t be a hard situation to manage. We could get a haul for him and he’ll be mostly through his prime years.Don't wanna start rushing prospects, but this organization is in dire need of Yurov and Ohgren being good offensive players, and quickly. Rossi was the reinforcements for this year and that's not working so far. We don't have anyone else on the doorstep. Our entire offensive future hinges on Boldy, Rossi, Yurov, Ohgren and Kaprizov. And the clock is ticking on Kaprizov.

Yes, if you believe that Kaprizov wouldn’t be forward about his intent with Guerin than it would be a problem. But, I believe Guerin will be able to determine if he has a real chance of resigning and I think Kirill will work with him to find somewhere else to sign.Tkachuk was a RFA not a UFA. Fiala would be a comparable to him, not Kap.
You're not accounting for the fact Kap has a full NMC the last 2 years of his deal. Kap could just as easily pull a Hall (BUF season) or J Gaudreau/Tavares (just walk) his last year here.

That reminds me of DR's 5yr plan that went on for 10 years when he finally said at the end that he "failed to manage expectation""There's a plan"

He's actually been decent, but a game like last night's, where he lets in 6 goals, has certainly made his GAA look pretty ugly. Needs more AHL time, for sure, but he's playing on a team with 3 rookie Dmen, and a penchant for taking penalties.Wallstedt with a rough start to his NA pro career...
This post is a candidate for the Positivity Thread.Vasilevskiy was awful in his first AHL Season for a while
No competeAnyone know what’s going on with hunter haight? He’s really struggling numbers wise
I only saw the first half of the 1st period last night for Iowa - did ROR get hurt? Looks like he is out of the lineup today. Thought he was decent first handful of games but have missed last couple. He's actually been decent, but a game like last night's, where he lets in 6 goals, has certainly made his GAA look pretty ugly. Walker is 3rd in rookie scoring, just one point behind the co-leaders. Leads the team in points by a good margin. He is not the 5'10" that some sites state - or at least, he is a healthy 5'10 +". He is at least an inch taller than Dewar, and two more than Shaw. If he could bulk up some he might be a NHL'er. Has speed, skill, smarts, can play in small areas...needs to work on his puck protection, but that's where some beef would help. He's not young(2017 draft), so i wonder if he can bulk up... you would think that a rink rat like him would know that is a weakness? He can play C, is RH, and for all that he can use a few lbs., can play in traffic, which is part of the reason he is scoring so much, while players like Chaffee and Beckman are playing on the perimeter.
Hentges still out with injury. He seems to have had a lot of them.
I thought Swaney looked stronger and better this year, and has had some good chances, but sooner or later you have to score, which has only done a bit of. He is not big and strong enough to be a NHL grinder.
Beckman is disappointing, to me. Doesn't seem to process the game fast enough. Always seems to be chasing the game, and never catching it. Hope he turns it around - I wonder what he is being told to work on?
Chaffee is 6'1", over 200 lbs., and is apparently a physical specimen, but his strength isn't apparent on the ice. Too bad, because I know Dean would love to get another Duhaime type. Right now, he's a slightly above average AHL scoring winger.
I'll leave discussion about the 3 rookie Dmen - I've said quite a bit already. Fascinated to watch how they develop.
