Why are the Devils 21-4-1? insane easy schedule, makes perfect sense.

I mean, this argument may work with any other team but NJ but you guys tanked with us for Mario lol

It seems foolish to embrace that with the comments he made.

I get it to a degree because the devils have been mediocre since he got there, but I feel like the Devils think what they are doing is playoff hockey. It ain’t.

Hopefully they succeed. Lots of likable players on that team!

Uh, the Devils were bad but it was the Pens who infamously deliberately lost games in the most famous tank job in history.

The Devils players don’t think they’re doing playoff hockey now but feel to make up things in your head.

It’s cute though how you like to pretend to know more than some NHL players because you’ve been a long time Pens fan.

The Devils players also don’t care much about the record or streak either, other than the winning every game part because they love winning and the excitement it’s building in the fanbase.

Reporters ask direct, pretty much leading questions about the streak/record and so players say some random shit about it.

Hischier also says while this is incredibly fun, they know they need to work at improving everyday and are taking it game by game.

And the other players say the same thing because they’re professional hockey players.

But feel free to think read all sorts of things into a three sentence excerpt from a tweet and decide it let’s you know exactly what a NHL player, or an entire team?, feels about the streak, regular season and playoffs. Somehow.

Also say high to Sid and Geno the next time they get to hang out with you and swap stories about what it’s like to be a NHL vet.

The title of this thread should constantly be updated. Right now they're 19-4-0 it still makes no sense. In case they struggle and lose 15 games in a row, the name of the title will still be appropriate. You can ask, why are the Devils 19-19-0, makes no sense.

PP still can’t finish. That has to change especially as games get tighter.

Makes no sense that a team that is near the top in most metrics is also at the top of the standings.

Clearly the OP needs to update the title of the thread as he's now calling for the Devils to win the Stanley Cup.
I don't want to talk about playoffs or the cup or anything like that. I am just having a good time. Pretty wild the Devils could lose 5-8 in a row and still be in a good spot.

Very jealous!

It’s not just the wins but how you guys are winning.
Yeah the advanced stats which admittedly still confuse me keep indicating that they aren't going to slow down but let's be real... They won't be 38-8 (doubling current record). There will be some adversity along the way.

Of course, but at least you know they are capable of this level of play.

that's actually the best part of this season. i can't even see them losing 8 games in a row.

11+ win streaks

New Jersey – 3
Toronto – 0
Well to be fair, you should list how long each franchise has been around. Like the devils are celebrating their 40th season this year, that’s a long time to rack up some win streaks. So to be fair to the leafs, lemme just check how long they’ve been arou…Woops my mistake.

This being said, teams can surprise. MTL made it to the finals with all odds against them. Anything can happen.

Oh yeah I have no beef with the Devils. Fun to see their team succeed like this, much better than the Marty days when they would come to Montreal and beat us 1-0.

Montreal's team was built for the playoffs though, even if they had no business in a playoff spot. If that makes sense
