A friend of mine has a dog that looks sorta like yours

Which brings you to my theme - Misa has looked like dog shit in the playoffs per people I follow who have watched a -10?

Martone I like and he’s my guy but in 94 questions he has never read or seen Harry Potter ?

However he does put ketchup on steak - medium rare at that so I forgive him

I’m team Martone over Misa

I like all 3 centers and Hagens is only 18 and I would have no problem picking him anywhere in top 6

I haven’t deep dived into Frondell like the other 4 top F but I think I’m going to like him
I’m on the Frondell band wagon. He’s playing against men at 17 (that tells me he understands system play well) and he goes to that net hard. No fear of being in the middle of the ice. Seen goals of all types, whether mucking in front, skating in, cutting while launching shots, or one timers. Always a plus in plus/minus and I am sure Axelsson (assuming he is still scouting) is watching every game.

Here is one report that’s goes into his pros and cons

Yeah but he's a Swede . . .

Not the best night outside of the Bruins losing. Penguins only get 1 point and the Ducks lost. Would like to see those teams distance themselves more from the Bruins.

Ducks are 5 points ahead right now. That's a lot of distance, and I'm thrilled the Penguins were able to come from 2 goals down midway through the 3rd period and force OT.

Yeah but he's a Swede . . .
That shot though. He reminds me of Pasta where he can get off a goalie beating shot basically anywhere on the ice. Being a center he is good defensively too which is important with this position.

I do understand because of Lindholm people would rather jump off a bridge than get another one, but he plays nothing like Lindholm.

" we want the sweede " 2.0

Yeah I was just having a little fun with the folks that didn't want him because he's a Swede. If they take him, I'm all in- I don't care what his nationality is if he's a good player for us. Lindholm being shit this year has nothing do with where he's from.

Yup
The 4 teams around us

1. The Sabres are feeling it
2. Syd ain’t letting the Pens tank & the legit young prospects playing hard
3. The Kraken play pretty hard and are in most games
4. Flyers with the Torts firing are playing much better

All 4 are better than Bruins right now

Home
Chicago is a concern - the Devils last game may be locked in and mail it in, Carolina is up and down

Away
Bruins should lose all three even the Pens but Swayman could steal one

You went 4 OA because in worst case you are still at 6 OA and it’s considered top six are heads above others
(Still think Bruins and or Preds are moving up in lottery)

Move up and give up current our high pick next year 1st round Toronto maple leaf pick throw in lysell and get misa. Not sure that's enough.

McN
always liked McNab, there was a stretch there where you could pencil him in on day1 for 30 goals , 70/80 pts, impressive for a dude picked in what? 5/6th round? Mind you, far fewer teams and I think he was picked in a spot that would be 3rd round or so by today`s standards

McNab ended up 3rd in Goals and 3rd in Pts from that draft and Robbie Ftorek wasn't even drafted and in a redraft would have gone top 10 for certain with McNab in an era where they were drafting at age 20. So definite crapshoot element when drafting 18 year olds even in the top 10 even today.

Surely not for good. Maybe for the next few seasons, though. Everyone goes through the down times, Bruins far less often than most. Then there are always the teams you think have finally arrived that fall off again. I don't think a single one of us (or anyone anywhere) thought the Bruins would be in the bottom 5 of the league this year. Things can change really fast.

If you forced me to make a prediction, I would say Boston picks in the 10\11 spot next year. The injuries to McAvoy and especially Lindholm are absolutely very concerning. McAvoy has played 8 full RS and has played 70 or more games just twice. If those two go completely sideways they will go top 5 again guaranteed.

That’s not the top 5 picks though. 15-18 no? Hindsight’s 20/20 and Sweeney was gm for like a month. He fired the scouting staff from that draft I believe. His scouting and drafting seems to be pretty good for a gm with no draft picks.

It was 13-15 and 16-18 were Barzal, Connor & Chabot. Between 2015 and 2017
he had 6 1st Round and 5 2nd Round picks. He has McAvoy left from that. Is Malkoc still a scout? His drafting was atrocious when it mattered.

Whoever banged the table for Letourneau should already be fired.

I'm still convinced that Scott Bradley is the fly in the drafting soup and has been for decades. The mistakes they make in drafting in this era are the exact same mistakes they made in drafting 25 years ago.
Whoever advised this kid not to play juniors should be fired.

Of course you still take him. It's 5 or 6 games vs 60+.

Lysell had a dominant playoff run in junior, how has that changed his NHL readiness?

I also included him playing in the U18 Worlds in that comment not just one playoff series. I think it will be a good thing if you get to see him in multiple environments
