Bouchard is working his way into the conversation.
Unless McDri both get injured he has zero chance and I really like bouchard's game and he has had an excellent playoffs.

But it's not happening.

I'd venture to say that it's going to be one of Miro, McDavid?drai and Igor from 3 of the teams.

Only Florida is in question with Barkov and Tkachuk being the frontrunners and Forsling being the Panthers version of Bouchard, although with a slightly better shot than bouchard as the other players are more down to earth.

Funny how NHL.com had McDavid overtaking Draisaitl in the scoring race after 15 games even though Drai had the tie break with twice the goals. Now that McDavid got a +2 on Drai last game his CS chances look a lot better again. While it is somewhat pointless to talk about CS winners at this stage as far as I know it's rather rare for someone to come from relative obscurity to claim the trophy with a great finals performance so it's quite likely the eventual winner will be among the 12 names in Matty Sundin's list above (looks alright to me). The Oilers trio has performed pretty evenly all three rounds although Drai might want to crank up a level in the last 2-3 games.

Updated
Edmonton: 1. Bouchard 2. Mcdavid 3. Draisaitl
Dallas: 1. Oettinger 2. Heiskanen 3. Johnston
New York: 1. Shesterkin 2. Trocheck 3. Lafrenière
Florida: 1. Barkov 2. Tkachuk 3. Verhaeghe

The only team with the clear favorite is Rangers with Shesterkin imo.
Bro in no world is Bouchard winning the SMYTHE

McDavid has taken the lead. Thought this was going be Draisaitls all day long. Maybe even Bouchard although that’s a long shot due to people pretending they watch his games and formulating an opinion anyways.

I feel like Bouchard should win it to date, but he will get “kessel’d” by voters being on a team with 2 generational players. one of mcdavid or drasaitl wins it, but drasaitl would likely have to have more points then mcdavid to win it over him

Bouchard has 23 points as a defenseman so far. He's already having a top 10 playoff run of all time among defensemen (tied for 10th with 82/83Ray Bourque, 21/22 Adam Fox and 90/91 Larry Murphy). I agree that its unlikely that McDavid doesn't get the votes, but Bouchard is certainly a worthy recipient of the vote. He's creeping up on Draisaitl in points already.

I have no problem saying that Bouchard has a Smythe worthy playoffs going this year or at least very close to it but it's still 99.5% going to be McDavid or Drai winning if the Oilers win the SC.
