When did he “eat” during Games 1,6,&7 or fro they not count?
Panthers. He put up points against every single team he faced. And a lot of them.

Yeah, Connor, in order for you to be good, you need to dismantle the NHL record for points in a Final, not just get close.
Crosby fanboys have come out of hiding to get their shots in while they can, they'll be back in their caves soon enough.

Crosby actually got it done.

His points don't count anyways. I prefer assists on empty net goals. :naughty:
And how many points did he have in 50% of the Final…0

You McBaby fan boys get so wrapped up in fantasy stats you fail to see how lousy a leader McBaby really is. He had a chance last night to shut up the critics permanently, but he didn’t.

The only critics remaining are agenda-driven or stupid, IMO.

So is anyone on media or Florida Panthers organization also whining about McDavid winning the MVP or is it just the fans here?
Don't even seem to be FLA fans here either.. just the usual Oilers haters

Everyone has been talking about McDavid's offense (and rightfully so), but he was also very good defensively. Maybe not in a conventional sense, but very few goals were scored when he was on the ice. (This is a good example of "the best defense is a good offense"). McDavid had a personal GAA of just 1.93 (at 5v5) - a really strong result.

For context, Barkov (who won the Selke and is perhaps the best two-way forward today) had a 1.76 GAA (5v5) - only about 10% better, while providing almost half as much offense overall. Draisaitl, playing in front of the same defensemen and goalie as McDavid, had an ugly 3.21 GAA.

(For those curious, McDavid's defensive numbers weren't very good in 2022. That's why this run is so impressive - not only did he improve his production compared to two years ago, he did it while significantly cutting back on the goals against while he was on the ice).

This thread has been overrun with bizarre statements: Scoring 11 pts. means McDavid was "Shut down"; McDavid's goals & assists are "Fantasy stats"; games in which he put up points he "Didn't show up". You can't make things up and call them discussion points. McDavid won. Closed.
