Who should be the captain next year?

But we lost, and hes suppose to be our main guy.
If he was the dominant force we all expect we would have won the series. Didnt even play vs their top line. Bergeron didnt have hardly any points and he was probably the main factor to why Boston won. Mathews needs to dominate all the time not just occasionally
He scored and was good dont get me wrong but needs to be elite 100% of time and I find he coasts allot.
What good is having a bad game but scoring a goal to make it look better then what it was.
Just tired of these overpaid guys

Malkin and Crosby had each other and didn't do shit after 1 cup until Kessel showed up several years later.

Lol yes he will, if u cant take Into account I was talking about the new contract that he took a discount on apparently that makes him paid way more then guys he hasn't come close to reaching their points total then I'm wasting my time with this conversation

He will doesn't mean he currently has. If your going to use his new deal at least wait for his season to start with that new deal. And if you are actually competent with math you'd realize contracts are relative to the cap, his % of the cap is in line with other similarly touted stars like Kane, Malkin coming off their ELC's.

Yupp. I think he was one of our hit leaders as well... 7 hits in the last 2 games while being our best forward offensively, and pretty stellar defensively.

Another interesting question would be "when do we name a captain?" Do we .Name one before the draft?
