I know some morons on here are gonna be happy about this but this is a big loss

This sucks. Hope Ras is able to keep going. If not, we're just moving Veleno up to 3c and having Fischer or Motte be c4? Really don't want to see us take Kasper off line 1 and risk throwing that line off.
because he's the one guy I get mad about, but I don't say it, when people say he's useless and no goodIdk why you have to be so aggressive op
no way ras IR too, bring up danielsonI would now try Berggren at 1st line for a short period and put Kasper back to Center.
After we get a Center back, then Kasper could return to 1st line.
Berggren - Larkin - Ray
DeBrincat - Compher - Kane
Söderblom - Kasper - Tarasenko
Motte - Veleno - Fischer
(Dries)
Ras - IR
Copp - IR
At Least Kasper would have some old GR chemistry with Söderblom (and also with Berggren).
I don't feel that way. brings a lot of intangibles, swiss army, character, 2-way game. underperforming contract to some degree for sure, but not "major bust" IMO.Sucks he is hurt. Overall he had been a major bust with the Red Wings. Wish he was healthy for the 5% chance someone would take him. I would have given Lombardi a look.

Less face offs won as well. If the team is protecting a 1 goal lead with a minute left, I sure as hell want Copp on the iceLess Copp, more blown leads.
It definitely seems like we are in another Czarnik situationHopefully we don’t run into another Czarnik situation
Hurts losing center depth. I’m surprised Dries is the call up
I think so too, speaking of which, they need to paper Lagesson down this week or risk having to run him through waivers (likely safe, but you never know)I think he’s just a precaution like Lagesson currently is.
Yeah, and as much as I hate the +/- stat, Copp is the only forward on the plus side of that on the wings so far this year...despite his heavy defensive zone usage...he has been a trooper, let's hope he is not off too long.I am a Copp defender. I generally admire the way this guy has been thrown up and down the lineup and asked to literally play every single role whenever and wherever we needed him with literally every single person in this lineup so others can be comfortable being focused on just their thing.... and he's done it without complaint.
The fact in a player poll he was voted as the best guy or best leader (I forget the specifics), tells me he's just be a rock for this team and the fans here dog piles on him being 'an issue'. I think it's pretty telling that the Wings generally struggled to protect the lead the last two third periods because of poor play at the end of the game, the inability to pot an empty netter, our top players all looking gassed, and letting not 1 but 2 goals in succession because they allowed the momentum and negativity run roughshod on them.
These are all literally things Copp does: he takes difficult defensive assignments, he is often the 2nd highest PK ice time forward, defensive zone starts, and the reason he gets so many empty netters is because he's often trusted to be the forward first over the wall in those situations. We're going to miss him and I hope that Compher can step up and take that role
