Driedger.

Florida is one of the better teams, I'm not sure they move anyone without an overpay.

Leafs need to move Andersen in any trade due to the cap, put him on IR, move someone like Kerfoot, or go after a lower priced player.

Whether Andersen is healthy or not who feels comfortable with him in the playoffs?

Wonder what Sabres would want for Ullmark?

Who would’ve thought Bernier would be better than Andersen lmao

Just for context, Bernier’s 14-15 season with a pretty shit team was way better than anything Andersen has done for us.

But somehow Bernier was given no benefit of the doubt and run out of town. Now we have a goalie who’s never held accountable. How does this even happen?

Why would Bernier want to come back after being run out of town and give the media/fans who ran him out the chance to shit all over him again?
Two steps forward and three steps back.

*Not that I want him back

Kuemper is probably the best potential option ability wise but the guy can't stay healthy. Wouldn't be any good to us on the IR.

I didn’t say he wanted to come back. Don’t know where you read that.

What I’m saying is I don’t understand how Andersen’s leash is so long when a better goalie had such a short leash. Doesn’t make sense to me.

lehner is probably a good option if vegas wants to trade him. freddie and lehner have the same cap hit, so the trade will have no cap implications. and vegas will get 5M cap relief after the season. and they can keep fleury for another year.

i'd do freddie and a 2nd for lehner.

If this shortened season and Canadian-only 2 first rounds give this team it's biggest window to win, we need to focus on short-term solutions. I want a goalie who has won, who knows what it takes. Let Campbell be the x factor if the plan fails. Holtby, Quick, Murray, etc should be the targets. Goalies who don't require quarantine should be at the top of the list.

Dream opportunity for any athlete , in any position , but in this case a goalie , to literally take the #1 job and run with it , and possibly more ...
Why not Soupy ?
Why not ?
It’s been done before ! That would be magical here , now !
It’s been a long long time since a goalie has become the hero for this team !

I didnt mean you said that...just making an observation.

Id say that the leash is different for a few reasons.
Different management styles.
Also when Bernier was here we were not expected to win or compete. Not by any who really took an objective look at the team composition.
At best he is an average goalie. Nothing more and sometimes less.

Other ,,,,,6.5"

Darcy Kuemper ,,,age 30,,,,contract,,,, this and next at 4.5m (just in time for Rielly raise)

last 102 nhl games sv% ballpark .922 sv%

looks to be a good split starter candidate

Agree either Lehner or Kuemper are the best two options in my book , I wouldn't bother about the Reilly raise notion he's next on the bus out of town after Freddie .
