It's hilarious that anyone would blame Nash on that chance to begin with. It was a perfect shot that was miraculously deflected. These things happen.

Yeah but you know how it is around here, the fact that these guys are actually human seems to be forgotten a lot.

I used to line the edge of the crease with pucks at the end of practices and try roof them it's something that is often extremely hard to pull off in game situations.

They do, but when you score 3 goals in 25 playoff games, people aren't going to give you the benefit of the doubt.

I'm done with Nash. Passenger the entire post season.

Trade him, retain salary if you have to, and replace him with a 3rd line winger at approximately $1.5-2M who can provide the same things (penalty kill).

3 goals in 25 games is brutal. I don't care about his chances. He was a passenger. It's about results. And he didn't contribute nearly enough to the teams success. He didn't even score on a starting goaltender.

I thank the Rangers for making it as far as they did. It's been 20 years between Cup appearances, for crying out loud!

So you're insinuating the shot was hard and fast?

It was absolutely a hard shot. It was a one time slap shot. He's not going to get that shot much harder than he did there. Wouldn't have mattered if he did, anyway, as it still would've been deflected. Just because a shot is harder doesn't mean Voynov's stick isn't there.

If Gabby would have gone to the front of the net like he did in this series, he’d still be a Ranger. You hear that Nash!!!

Really? Were you predicting a trip to the finals this season? Probably not, which means you could be just as wrong about that again before Lundqvist retires. Jeez , it doesn't take long for people to get uber-negative again!

The Rangers need to add a PP QB on defense, a center to replace Richards - hopefully someone with some size and faceoff ability. I wouldn't mind another scoring winger.

The cap prevents most of that from happening, buying out Richards means we get to sign our RFAs and some of our UFAs, but upgrades probably aren't in the cards.

As for getting back, you are overlooking the massive good fortune in getting to this point this season. Probably aren't getting to play backup goalies for 9 games out of the 1st 3 rounds again, or Montreal upsetting boston for us and in the process shooting their emotional load before the ECF.

If he shot it higher, he risks missing the net entirely. If he shot it harder, it gets deflected still and goes above the net still.

You're asking for him to do something that is basically impossible on a one-timer. You can only do so much with the puck on a one-time shot. It's why so many of them are off target to begin with (since you are at the mercy of physics).

Placing any amount of blame on him there is just ridiculous. The equivalent of someone blaming Hank for the OT goal against.

Ifs, ands, or buts were candy and nuts.

A heartbreaker. But in the final analysis, I couldn't be more proud of our team. They played a game on June 13, something I never thought they'd do this season. Congrats to the Rangers, every one of them, coaches, trainers and management. Thank you for a great season.:handclap:

Frankly, it's tough enough to get one of those one timers on target in the first place since so much of that is luck.

Tired of hearing about 1994 Rangers every time with these guys on MSG

Why? The 94 team was a great team. Messier, Leetch, Kovalev, Zubov, Richter... Glenn Healy :sarcasm: ... I think the 94 team would have beat this kings team. It's a pretty important thing to mention. Though I guess some might be irritated, but I never was.

Get the **** out of here. Just because it was a one timer doesn't mean he ****ing rocketed it. Compare his one timer to MSL and then come back to me if it's even in the same ballpark.

Nash was snakebitten the entire playoffs.

Losing this series was a lot easier to stomach than losing to the Devils in 2012.

We'll be back though. We've got Hank and we've got McDonagh. And we are in the East after all :P ;)

You're the one who is saying the "ifs" and "buts."

Blaming Nash there is beyond absurd.

7.8 million a season.

0 points in the finals.

Half empty net.

And different from what you believe, that shot was weak.

So you're insinuating the shot was hard and fast?

Look, outside of Henrik, D. Moore and Boyle, no one had a great finals. Mr 2firstrounds St.Louis couldn't stay on his skates tonight. Girardi looked like he was bought off. The Brass-Poo-Zucc line didn't do jack, Did Stepan have a goal in the finals? Kreider was snake bit on the breakaways the defense couldn't figure out the Kings were hugging the boards and allowed breakaways. AV thought turtling was a fun way to spend a 3rd period and the puck should only be advanced by flip pass (I think AV sometimes thinks he's Tom Coughlin).

The point eludes you.

It doesn't matter how hard he shoots it as the stick is still there either way. If he shoots it harder, it only goes above the crossbar quicker.
