Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. You miss the last 5 games or so?
The new Byfield line (22-55-14) has been the Kings best line by a long shot every game since being put together. They create chances like maniacs and consistently dominate play.
Still want more production out of Byfield of course but he's definitely a 2nd line center right now IMO.

You can tell when EK gets a scoop. There's a post on the weekend, or everything is spelled wrong because he's too excited.
50% retained on Savard with Moore & Spence going back & the cap is close. Montreal only has 1 retention slots currently.

Needs
A) Replace Moore, he's not cut out for tight checking games. Replace with a large 3rd liner with similar points.
B) adjust out of the 11-7 by picking up a reliable 3rd pair D & extra Forward
C) Playoff Turtle hockey doesn't need fancy puck movers. Trade Spence & send Clarke to Ontario until the end of the season.
King's don't have a 2nd round pick & a 1st is too much for any of the types of players needed. So package deal where King's plug all their holes in one stop.

Yep, that's what we need less mobile Defensemen and we will have one thats legit that will play 5 minutes a night even with Spence gone. If he makes a trade like that then you know Marc Bergevin is running the show and ownership is lost. You better have Kirby Dach coming back to. Better deals out there to be made for sure. Talk about crap deal that will get you out in 1st round.
Imho Theres nothing out of Montreal thats available that I would even trade a first or Moore for

I've suspected they'd go after a large, physical RD because they don't seem overconfident on Spence, Clarke due to the 11/7.
It's like they are trying to build a team like Lombardi did, unfortunately they ain't Lombardi and that style isnt what seems to be winning right now.*This is my guess on what Blake would do.

Is anyone else terrified by these rumors of teams trying to reunite the Schenn brothers? Both are Kings alums. It’s not hard to imagine BLuc cooking an offer centered around Clarke/Spence to get Brayden then trading for Luke as a RHD replacement that can do that Kings hockey.

we need legit scorers with Skill and all we see to be hearing about is 3rd and 4th liners or 3rd pair defensemen and right's on top of it
Blake will send Turcotte + Spence for a winger and then something like Dvorak + 4th for Savard (then Dvorak becomes the next Cernak)

Luc and Rob are a waste of time and money.
If Spence and a first is your best offer, it’s hard to see how you can land a premium player at the deadline. There isn’t enough cap room to make a hockey trade where you’re moving multiple pieces for a guy who gets you past a Vegas or Edmonton.
I hope Blake stands relatively pat and makes a pure depth move at best. Giving up a third and some AHL’er for a solid fourth line forward makes sense. Big swings have shown to be fat mistakes. So what you really want to do is upgrade on Lewis, but not sacrifice Akil’s chances next year.

Gotta remember that there is very little chance that Hiller keeps these lines intact for that long, so it would be quite the Kingsy thing to overpay futures for somebody their analytics staff raves about - then try to squeeze him in somewhere while disrupting what was working.
I think it will be a quality 4th liner ala Laughton or Evans, not a scoring winger that gets brought in - for Zimmer and a pick.

Wouldn't pay that , been hearing Montreal is looking for a 2nd, but this the Kings so they'll overpay a try a fit a square peg in a round hole. Blake and company havent shown in the last few years that they can make a value trade or let alone win one

One dimensional forwards would get little to no playing time in LA. Plus he is not good.

I've come up with another player that fits Blake's and anyone's criteria for the Kings going "forward"...A rightshooting,RWinger that can play the PP on the leftsides and can score and with an expiring contract Andrei Kuzmenko...bet Gavrikov would give stamp of approval...of course Jeannot goes back to make the money work and LA kicks in a Farmhand not named Dvorak,Portillo

Unironically, if we could get a vintage of Lewis from 2010 to about 2015, it would be huge for the bottom six.
