What are the Jays stats at Kauffman ?
Gotta be bad.
The Left field fence is so far away that Bautista gets sweaty.

In the extremely large three game sample size prior to this playoff series the Jays put up a .271/.350/.411.

If they put that up tonight there will be a tomorrow, and if they do it again tomorrow there will be a game Tuesday.

Also shocking that teams are built to play in their home park....they only play 81 games there. Maybe next year the Jays should build a team capable of playing in Kaufman stadium on the off chance they play them in the playoffs again next year.

They are not....that is a fallacy.

Eric Hosmer was drafted with the idea that he had 30 HR potential. Ditto for Moustakas and Gordon. They traded for Cain and Escobar because those were Milwaukee's best prospects. They were trying to compile talent, not tailor a specific player to their ballpark.

Just like the Jays were not built to play in the Rogers Centre. They were built to be productive, anywhere.

Probably should use the 5 game sample size if we're going by this season right?

Also, not sure if .760 OPS gets it done. KC averages that at home.

WHy so many stats???

Post-season is different and the only stats I know is our big lefty has Never won anything in the post-season and he's been garbage as hell every time he pitched. Fastball dow the middle will get hit by Kc or Houston or NY...

Pitching is the name of the game...and power-arm.

6-3 Royals. Gibbons will be freaking passive again...our D will panic when they run 60 hit and run during the game.

Not sure if i've seen an hit and run or some viable strategy by our stupid Manager so far:(

 This little tidbit was at the bottom of a Toronto Star article about what the KC media is saying:

Rain or shine, the Westboro Baptist Church said it plans to picket the game because of Canada’s same-sex marriage laws.

There is a link to a tweet in the article but I'm not linking it here due to some of the language used (I don't want to accidentally get an infraction)....it good for a laugh though.

So is the whole TStar article and 'What KC is saying'

How about you learn to make sense first?

Season stats have not much value in playoff ?
Price is bad in post-season
Gibbons never do hit-and run ?

Royals have done some great base-running?

Royals win 6-3?

which of my affirmation doesn't make sense??

The 1 about the stats probably...you'll watched Moneyball yesterday and think WRC,OPS etc have value in a game 6...lolll throw those stats away as Pitching = name of the game in playoffs...

Hit and run still doesn't fix the fact they're straight up stranding guys. That point is dumb.

Pitching is the name of the game...which is why Cueto, Volquez, Dickey and Price have all been beaten like government mules in this series.

Nothing is guaranteed come the postseason. That's why a team no one even expected to make the playoffs is waiting back home for the World Series to start.

Hands up who wants to see Revere get on base and have Martin hit the ball ?

Joey Bats hits .253 @ Kauffman, 120 PA, 4 HR, 19 BB, 16 SO. 15 RBI.

So, after having watched the first five games of the ALCS and seeing these two teams average over 11 runs per game, you've decided that this confirms the adage that pitching is the name of the game in the playoffs?

Yeah this narrative that the Jays are only suited to bandboxes (but not perfectly) and the Royals are perfectly suited for their stadium and other big parks is incredibly accurate.

I mean yeah, the best offence in baseball over an entire season's sample is just not that good.
