Great game by the Oilers last night, I gotta say. This is the most entertaining series of this year so far.

The oilers have all of a sudden been playing good defensively (last 2 of 3 games). If they can keep doing that with McDavidvflying around out there, they have a legit shot at the Stanley Cup. The only team at this point that is measurably better are the Hurricanes. By the cup final, who knows what kind of shape they will be in.

They’ve actually been playing well defensively for months (since Ekholm addition) as noted by their record and goals against during that timeframe. They’ve had some of their worst defensive performances of the year through the playoffs though so we’ll see what happens.
