Unlikely. Even if he's cleared I doubt the team will play him until he's had more practice. Worst case scenario they go with Hill who was pretty strong in Thompson's initial absence before he was also injured.
Anything but Quick

Pretty much. He might be good to win a game or two under Cassidy's system but I wouldn't lean on him for a whole ass series.
Never been more nervous watching a goalie play, he can make 5 incredible saves and then let in a complete back breaker

Well, I was wrong about Edmonton. I thought LA's neutral zone trap and low zone collapse would force a dirty outside game that would favor LA.

Turns out, Edmonton is a bigger and stronger team than I realized. They beat LA everywhere on the ice. Outside the box, which led to chances inside it.

Holland knows teams were gonna play like LA to counter McDavid, so he built a team that can beat you anywhere. Outside grind. Open and skill. North south. Doesn't matter, this Oilers team is built to beat anyone.

And I've done a 180 on Woodcroft. His 11 forwards and 7 defenseman strategy is so forward thinking and imo cutting edge. This could honestly be the new framework for how a team is coached going forward.

He is constantly shuffling his players around. McDavid and Drai taking turns centering one of the depth lines. He loads them together when the time is right. He is constantly tinkering and moving people around with the intent of totally and completely overwhelming the other team.

It's honestly brilliant coaching. I was completely wrong about him. I take it back. Fantastic coach, and I think Edmonton is winning the cup. I don't see how anyone can beat this team. It's constructed too well, and it's too well coached.

So many Oiler fans have planned and paid for their trip already based on the game being on Friday night. Now the League wants to change the date at the last minute? What a Mickey Mouse League.

1st world problems...lol

Bold strategy to let the Oilers have a night out Friday and then play at 4pm on Saturday. RIP to Kane’s bank account

If it holds true

He's gonna have a great time in Vegas...hope he brings a few of the other boys along with him.

I’m surprised at the number of people saying this is a great matchup for Edmonton. It reminds me of comments people made about the Colorado series 2 years ago. People said the Avs had the bigger stars and liked to play a more wide open game so it was a great matchup for them.

Back then the Knights didn’t have Eichel and Stephenson was the first line center. Today Stephenson and Stone are on the 3rd line instead of the 1st line.

I think the big mismatch in this series is on special teams, not 5 on 5. If Edmonton clearly outplays this Knights team on 5 on 5 then we’re looking at a short series because there is no way that power play can be stopped.

Oil in 7. I just don't like the combo of Connor and Drai vs the current Vegas goalie situation. Which isn't to say the Oilers situation is much better in net with Stu being the only sub .900 goalie to make round 2.

I expected nothing more from the same poster who decided Cecily was lying about getting spit on because reasons.
Some people always have weird issues they have to project into what is a glorified kids game. Considering how long he has been on here pretty pathetic for an adult to treat actual issues like that to feed his irrational hate of a city or hockey team.

People seem to be 50/50 on this game being moved. Some happy they can now go and some mad that now they stay longer or cancel the trip entirely

Vegas in 5. The Knights have woken and Thompson is fully healthy. We may see him in this series.

Vegas is 4 lines deep. They have Chandler Stephenson and Mark Stone on their 3rd line. That could be the series right there.

Unlike LA, Vegas locks it down between the hash marks and doesn't give away onetimers right in the slot. And their D is way bigger and more physical.

I remember reading something similar when they were about to face the Habs 2 years ago.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually you. You seem to have a strong history of bad takes.

I think Edmonton wins this in 5 maybe 6. McDavid hasn't even been at his best so far. When he starts taking over games look out.

Will be very entertaining to watch #1 and #2 from 2015 compete.
