WCSF: Vegas Golden Knights (P1) vs. Edmonton Oilers (P2) (VGK Lead 3-2)

This is the best of the round 2 series'. WCF worthy matchup this year for sure.

Vegas have been able to slay elite Western teams in the past, but at the same time this is the best version of the Oilers so far in my opinion.

Vegas haven't been an elite possession/pressuring team over the course of the season. I don't think they're too fast for the Oilers, as long as the pace of the game is good for them McDrai will be extremely dangerous.

But the healthy Golden Knights have some excellent depth with a more well-rounded defense.

Feels like a long series.

Cant just change the game 2 date. Gtfo. Is it so Toronto can have more rest before their game 3? Gtfo.

Looks like game 2 might end up being moved to Saturday night for some reason...

Well i'm sure Edmonton players wouldn't mind an extra day in Vegas (the forecast is beautiful this week with highs in the lower to mid 70s), but what about their fans that have already arranged travel? Maybe the league needs new schedulers who can figure out what is going on before posting the game days.

I heard when Edmontonians play golf... it's mini putt.
I like mini-putt.

What do you have against it? Sounds like a form of Smallism to me.

Perhaps it's the same reason Vegas needs to wear those gaudy helmets to compensate for something...less than impressive. :D

I know several people that are out at least $1,000, but probably closer to $2,000 over this.

To add insult to injury they don't even have the capability to re-sell the tickets because they were purchased from the Knights directly.

That's how the NHL rewards its hardcore fans willing to spend thousands to travel for games - dick them because the Panther's owner wants to watch the Kentucky Derby. Disgraceful, honestly.

From the All-Star break to the end of the regular seasonVegas was 22-4-5.

Edmonton was 22-5-5.

You are right that Edmonton was the best team since the deadline (17-2-1!) but "by far" might be a reach as Boston was 17-4-0 and Vegas was 15-3-3.
Two out of those three teams will be gone after this round! But who?...

Gonna be a good one. I don't understand anyone looking past the Knights, these guys are playing to win whereas the Kings were playing to not lose if that makes sense. Felt like LA was so focused on stopping McDavid and not focused on their own game. I don't see that with the Knights.
I hope the nights ignore Mcdavid!

Bold strategy to let the Oilers have a night out Friday and then play at 4pm on Saturday. RIP to Kane’s bank account

If it holds true
