Ellerby and Muzzin both had some awful turnovers throughout the whole game, but its not like they were completely horrible. They were lucky they didn't lead to any goals though. I'm surprised we hung on to within one goal, and if it weren't for the costly penalties, who knows how it would've ended. And at least Toffoli finally scored.

I think Martinez has learned his lesson from the benching and will be ready for game 4. The same goes for Nolan. Pearson is far too green for a series like this, but it was worth a **** in the woods. Our top guys need to be better (duh)....

Look at the bright side. Hope we win game 4 then game 5 is at home. I don't want to jinx us but you know what I mean.

Our defense was soo good last year Mitchell, Green, was awesome! I really didn't think we were going to steamroll everyone without those guys. We have Ellerby, and freakin Muffins! However amazing we are still up 2-1 still proud of our guys no matter the outcome!

Aside from Quick, how many players can we say had a solid game? This was a bad game from the entire team. The top line was invisible, as were most of the other skaters on the team. They still shouldn't reshuffle all if the lines though. Fight through it and let them dig themselves out of the hole they're in.

The Defense was not even that bad, The forwards had a terrible game.

Williams is just awful, what happened too him.

Kopitar/Toffoli was about the only guys to show up.

Bingo.

Read my mind. Was going to post that too but didn't get around to it.

If I wasn't a Kings fan, would have turned it off and do something useful like have a bowel movement or something.

I watched an episode of Bones on the DVR and checked the score from time to time...

But yeah, need to pick it up a bit. Could use some players getting healthy again. But what's funny is that it took us to play 3 rookies before we finally lost. :)

A series doesn't start till the home team loses. Sharks are just as good as us at home. However, the Kings have to play better, way to many lackluster efforts.

Also three straight PK's. I mean If I am a shark player. I am saying to myself really ?

Scuderi and that's it. Our other defensemen had some woefully mistimed hits. Forwards were too content not to move their feet towards the net and instead take the easy road outside and shoot. Not gonna cut it.

Kings PK is going to be terrible without Mitchell, Greene and Stoll.

Regehr's penalty was the only one that was necessary.

Brown takes a stick penalty in the offensive zone. Lewis skates right into the goalie full speed. And how can you forget the puck over the glass in the first two minutes.

Just so disappointing. Game was there to be taken and they give an effort like that in the third. :(

Pens quote on penalty on Lewis

“I find it very tough to believe that a player as intelligent as Trevor would run the goalie. I asked him and he said he was pushed from behind. I believe him. I’m disappointed in the refs that they could make a gutsy call like that in the last 30 seconds of a period. It’s pretty impressive when you have enough gall to guess. I’m going to look at the tape and see if he got pushed because I know what it is like to drive the net.â€

Kopitar was pretty good, Doughty was okay (tried to make too many hits)

Why is Dwight King even playing? Does sutter have something for that fool?

RR Was brain dead.

Ellerby was eh, still hate him.

Muzzin made a terrible mistake with barely any pressure.

Williams... has to be injured.

Brown invisible.

Carter was alright.

Richards was pretty bad. I thought Gomez pimp slapping him would wake him up, but didn't happen.

toffoli is money. Dont understand why he didnt play more.

Just wanna say again and again Jon Quick is such a pleasure to watch! Wow he's good!

I wouldn't comment on the Refs at all, it's ended poorly for every team this year that has done it.

I would just say, "We took some PK's and needed to kill them".

Move on. Leave the Refs out of it.

Guys A-Mart deserved that Bench, he was on the ice For three even strength goals against in a single game.

You can complain about Ellerby all you want Muzzin too, But both of those guys have not had an even strength game that bad.

The Kings did not give up an Even strength goal tonight....

Only cause Quick saved their ***** dozens of times. Like I said before the game, AMart had one bad game and the defense looked more steady with him out there. Muzzin was a -2 in game 2 against STL and he wasn't benched for that.

Tonight we are once again talking about shaky defense. I don't get the move. They were 6-0 with Martinez in the lineup. Why do you need to bench after one bad game? Just give him another chance, they didn't even lose during Alec's bad game.

And I don't get why King is still up on the 2nd line. He has two points despite playing with Carter and Richards who have 14 points. What the hell is he doing out there? He can't pass, he can't shoot, he's not doing anything out there.

Then in the third period DS is just tossing out whoever he feels like to play together. I get that he's trying to generate some offense but when they are facing down three sharks lines who have chemistry and skill together, it's no wonder they spent most of the time in their own zone. Nobody knows where anyone is.

This was not Sutter's best game to say the least.

From nothelen:

Have asked NHL for explanation of game misconduct on Quick at the end. haven't heard back yet.

Probably some four letter words for the refs. He was run all night without a call, including an elbow from burns.

I'm sure he let the refs know his thoughts on all the shots he took from the Sharks that went ignored yet Niemi is touched once and it's called.

That's the kind of Stuff I am talking about, just leave it be.

It all ends poorly, the Refs don't like being shown up or complained about.

Let Dean Lombardi handle that type of stuff. He can discretely inquire the league about the calls.
