Fair to say Kadri won't be the Avs #2 C next season?

I don't see how they can afford what he will command.

Likely looking at at least 9 million per year.
He had a career year in almost every aspect. Anyone willing to give him at least 9 million will regret that. He is due for a hefty raise but it shouldn't double his current salary

Cool. Thanks for sharing your Draisaitl boner with the class.
Well stats are on my side, feeling are on yours.

All Draisaitl has that is superior to MacKinnon is his shot.

Doubt it would. Some GM would still value that "Truculence"
Lol what? Draisatl is better in every other single facet of the game other then straight line speed. Stronger with the puck, best passer/playmaker in the league. You are a known Oilers hater so not sure what I am arguing with you about. You have been wrong all year to be honest could have sworn you were on ignore.

I had to stop and laugh when you said best playmaker in the league

Good lord the amount of oilers fans that downplay Mackinnon is incredible 😂

Many Oiler fans see big roster deficiencies and have since the start of the season. Like I said, they *should* be cup contenders and be a top tier team by now. But they havent built the roster to do that

SoI personally have already processed this, so a loss in the WCF isnt going to change anything for me

100% they have holes in their roster. Colorado is the better team but the better team doesn’t always win

It’s a game of inches and bounces. I have faith in the forward group. Edmonton’s D is gonna have to be better though and Smith has to keep up his play and preferably eliminate couple of those horrendous goals that can be back breakers

If McDavid can play like he did in game 6 and 7 Vs the Kings he might steal a game or two. Maybe Kuemper gives a game away

It’s gonna be a fun series no matter what

Yikesssss

Avs dmen and bottom six outscore Oilers bottom six more than the amount McDavid/Drai outscore the Avs top 2 lines.

Great matchup

Top end offense: Oilers
Overall Offense: Avs
Defense: Avs
Goaltending: Slight edge to Oilers (Smith is rested and his blunders aside has been remarkably solid)

Overall: Avs

It's weird being on the other end of the stick where the opposing team is carried by a few players and the Avs actually have the edge in depth and defense.

40+ pages already. This is the series the people want and perhaps will be one that defines the Speed & Skill Era.
Overhyped series never tend to deliver, this is one which is getting broadcast everywhere in the hockey world and even ads showing stars facing off. Considering how many people are talking about it and writing the same thing over and over again (about speed and skill), I will be surprised if it does at this point.

Oh this will deliver and hopefully Avs are the next on the coffin dance. Needs sound to be fully appreciated.

GSVA data is too much back and doesn't really give any value to defense. I prefer current year lines goals for vs. goals against values.

I guess the GSVA is decent at showing where the production should be coming, which should be AV's advantage with the gigadepth they have. Goalies are the key here, especially since both are known to be rated anywhere from playoff elite to softie vacuum. I would be seriously surprised if we don't see at least one goalie meltdown in this series.

Likely we see a meltdown on each side
