Oilers are extreme underdogs but if somehow god willing they are able to get four wins, I cannot WAIT to hear people spin the narrative about how bad the Avalanche are. Oilers haters going to have to get real creative if they are able to win this one.

Good luck to both teams, I think it’s going to be a hell of a series.

I think Drai’s a better passer and playmaker as well. But Mack creates space for himself and teammates better than Drai does. Very different players though who are similarly talented. Excited to see how this matchup plays out.

I disagree about creating space. Draisaitl is elite at holding a puck and drawing a defender just to thread the needle to a now open guy who generates a scoring chance.

Mackinnon is maybe more of a bull in the China shop, but Draisaitl creates a ton of room out there.

Good luck tonight. It is quite rare this far into the playoffs that neither team is relying on great goaltending.

Both teams got some haters that might try to twist the narrative without paying attention to the game.

Cheers to everyone actually watching tonights game.

Not saying Drai doesn’t create space he clearly does. But outside of McDavid I think Mack is the best at using his skating to create gaps in the defense, and his bull in a china shop play style is a massive part of that. He gets the puck and his speed creates major problems and either defenders gravitate to much to Mack which leaves the trailers open or they can’t keep up which also causes space in the dzone.

Like I said Drai is also very good at creating space, but Mack’s ability to open up pockets is beaten only by Mcdavid. That’s the biggest reason for Mack’s success I would say and why he struggles the most when he isn’t able to skate as freely.

To be fair, Avalanche lost their #1 goalie halfway through Game 1

Let's see the Oilers go to Koskinen for the series

Good to see that elite Avs D in action.

I'm not claiming that the Oilers are even in their league, but that display was...underwhelming...after all of the pre-series hype. The Oilers D, on the other hand, were as advertised.
