And you guys got scored on 6 times by the Oilers in a playoff game where the Oilers scored 3 goals without McDavid or Draisaitl on the ice. It was a 1 goal game before the empty netter. Neither team was good, being cocky after that is kind of embarrassing.
I'm not even an Avs fan, good for Edmonton for scoring 6, but allowing 8 is ridiculous. Their team and D is being exposed now that they're finally playing against decent competition.

That Oilers blue line is ugly, you're not winning a cup with that. Nurse is supposed to be the #1 guy and he looked like a #4D, no goaltending/no defence, this will be a very short series.

It’s exactly like I said earlier in the thread. Avs are going to have to score 6-7 goals a game to win because we can have a bad game and still score 5 or more like tonight.

Who said that? Like I said, the Oilers D were as advertised. The Avs D? Not even close. And most knew that it would be a crapshoot on offense.

So... I guess it doesn't really matter that the Oilers were able to score a bunch of goals.

The game was 7-6 before an empty netter and the Oil played an awful game. People were saying the exact same thing about the Calgary series. I don’t think Edmonton will win but people acting like this game was a massive blowout and Colorado in 3 is hilariously ridiculous. Good to see it’s mostly salty fans of other teams though.

Gentlemen’s sweep coming up.

The Avs are very beatable for the Oilers, the Oilers had an absolutely horrific game and still showed crazy heart to battle back and nearly tied it.

Oilers in 5.

Wow Mike Smith is ass.

I also like how after most of his goals against he looks at his teammates as if it's their fault and not because he's ass.

So many Oilers fans crying that the refs lost them this game lmao, you got scored on 8 times in a playoff game, the issue is not officiating. This is going to be a 4-5 game series.
1 empty net goal
1 refs gifting them a goal
1 pp goal off that challenge of a gift

How do you explain the oilers outscoring the Avs clean winning it 6-5?

Funny how things work here. "scored on 8 times". You must be excited about that 8th goal of the game by the Avs and wondered how the oilers goalie was completely caught out of position for that one.

Game looked as about expected for me, Avs are the better team and will probably continue to dominate the advanced stats, but shaky goaltending makes any game winnable for the other team.

Similar to St Louis Edmonton would really benefit from the games turning into a Toronto/Tampa penalty fest, if that happens I think they win easily. Colorado is both bad on the penalty kill and Edmonton is terrific on the pp. If it stays 5 on 5 Colorado is likely to win in 5 or 6. A team having 63% of the scoring chances is just unlikely to lose barring getting goalied.

Games in Edmonton will also be much more interesting, have to think Woodcroft wants McDavid away from Mackinnon 5 on 5 if he can get it.

Oh yeah, let's pretend last series didn't happen, where Calgary scored even more goals in game 1 and still got their asses kicked. "Now that they're playing against decent competition." Lol get out of here.

Mike Smith is either ass or great. No inbetween. He is either massively frustrating for Oilers fans, or the fan base he is facing.
