Bro Ian Cole scored half of your team's goals for you on a third string goalie - I wouldn't be strutting around too hard after that series.

The entire population of Edmonton made a singularity in their pants, their ass puckered so hard after the Nucks nearly sent game 7 to OT. We all saw how that went.
Whatever you say buddy, congrats on not beating Stuart Skinner 😂

I still think Edmonton can win this.

But I think if they don’t, we see Skinner exiled in the offseason, Campbell gets bought out (that’s happening regardless IMO) and maybe they try for Ullmark for one year like when Colorado acquired Kuemper as a one year rental.

If Kenny were staying with the team he’d probably sign Ullmark to an astronomically bad extension, but all signs are pointing to him not being there.

It is difficult to understand exactly what happened after the first but the Deboer had the Stars ready to go immediately and they tore the Oilers to pieces. It was so bad that after the third goal I would have called a time out and changed goalies... There needed to be a pause but the situation also required a shakeup and message. Knoblauch doesn't and it was almost curtains immediately as Marchment went in alone..

Pickard entering the game, he may just have that 4th goal.. game goes to overtime and Edmonton might win.

It may be beneficial for the Oil to sprinkle Bouchard in on some of Drai's shifts, go 1-3-2-4 with the line combos... Bouchard every second shift and only giving him a blow after extended shifts , usually after getting trapped in the d zone.

Nurse/Ceci is a flammable pairing... firestarters...

Kulak/Ceci as the 2nd pair and limit the Nurse/Desharnais pair to the lowest matchups.. I don't see how Broberg helps at this point..

Perry should stay where he is.. MacLeod is pretty much useless. Fine where he is.

Yeah, Oilers start 2-0 with shots 10-3 in their favor. Next thing you know, it's 2-3 with shots 10-15 in favor of Stars.

Might want to keep playing after getting the lead instead of sitting on it. Sitting on a lead does not work, and there's tons of data to back that up. Why do teams keep doing so?

At this point, I'm thinking that Stars will win in 5 or 6. Oilers technically should be able to do better than that, but they seem to have coaching, leadership, and goaltending issues that Stars don't.

I wonder if McDrai and Mack, Rantanen, Makar are playing too many minutes which is why they want to sit on leads.

But what I don't get is why they keep playing Stuart Skinner? The guy just sucks ass. I think Pickard has been much better, what did he ever do to get benched?

It's just incredible how bad Skinner is at positioning. Any scramble and he's way out of position. Reminds me of Ondrej Pavelec.

It really seems like no lead is safe with the Oilers.
Well with an AHL goalie and an AHL defenseman making 9.25 mln a year - the Oil opponents always have a chance. Just drive the net and be persistent, Skinner will let some through.

Whatever the final outcome this post-season, the Oilers need to finally find a way to address their deficiencies in net and on Defence this offseason.

Off-loading Nurse and his albatross contract would be ideal, but likely not realistic unless the Oilers eat a tonne of that contract.
