Suomi/Finland
Connor McDavid : the best player in the world
Leo Draistail : 2nd best player in the world

But are they good enough, mentally strong enough that is, good enough leaders
when the game is on the line, you need either to hold the lead, tie the game, or win the game
in a spot where it gets mentally very tough, are those two good enough?

for example, McDavid got 2 + markers, but also 4 - markers
and in two of them (at least) his defending was shit, subpar

when in 3rd and Dallas had retaken the lead, Oilers put McDrai together, couldn't score,
they pulled the goalie, couldn't score

also, anyone saw McDavid's face after the EN goal?, he looked like Oilers just lost the series
imagine the message it gives to Oilers players, if your captain and the best player in the world
looks like that

I think the whole problem here is not that people think Edmonton does not deserve to play in the 3rd round. The deserve it, they won 2 series as everyone else.

The problem here is that their opponents were an AHL level team and a team with zero playoff experience and 3rd(or 4th?) goalie in the net.

And fans of other teams know that, but Oilers fans like to pretend they were facing Panthers and Rangers at least. And Edmonton is super strong team just because it is one of the 4 teams left.

So LA is an AHL team, does that make Washington and the Islanders ECHL teams?

Two games to one so Oilers are still very much in it. But if they lose the next one I think Dallas moves on. Skinner isn’t winning 3 games in a row against Dallas.
I hope your right.

Every first period Edmonton gives me hope and makes me think they can take each game but then they falter in the second and third.

The Oilers have really mastered the art of pulling their goalie, letting in the empty net goal within seconds, and crushing morale before they can even blink.

Edmonton
He had the same face at the 2015 lottery

He knew at that time, that he would feel the same in the future...self fulfilling prophecy.

Oilers are like Clubber Lang in Rocky 3, they go nuts in the 1st period and have no gas left for the rest of the game.

Even if McDavid gives you an absolutely perfect game, the Oilers aren’t going to win it all if he’s asked to carry them the whole way. You can’t win in hockey on the backs of one or two guys, especially when you’re demanding they play perfect defense while also providing all of the offense.

You’re asking too much of McDavid.

Nothing I said implied the contrary. Skinner playing poorly and the Canucks playing well are two different things.
Bro Ian Cole scored half of your team's goals for you on a third string goalie - I wouldn't be strutting around too hard after that series.

The entire population of Edmonton made a singularity in their pants, their ass puckered so hard after the Nucks nearly sent game 7 to OT. We all saw how that went.

"Hyperbole is often used for emphasis or effect. In casual speech, it functions as an intensifier:[5][3] saying "the bag weighed a ton"[6] simply means that the bag was extremely heavy.[7] The rhetorical device may be used for serious or ironic or comic effects.[8] Understanding hyperbole and its use in context can help understand the speaker's point. Hyperbole generally conveys feelings or emotions from the speaker, or from those who the speaker may talk about. It can be used in a form of humor, excitement, distress, and many other emotions, all depending on the context in which the speaker uses it." (c) wiki
