Not bad. We have lots to work on going forward, but a win is a win.

Our forward lines will continue to develop chemistry, we missed some passes out there. All in all a 5-1 win over the USA definitely don't want to complain. Just keep getting better everyday.

Out of all the Team Canada rookies, most pleased with Murray. Although he played at this tourney before, his career got somewhat derailed by injuries. Good to see him climbing back up me LD depth chart.

Lots to work on for the rest of my compatriots.

Talbot looked good as well for his 1st taste of international action on any level.

Hardly noticed Murray and that was a good thing.

Talbot was sharp today, that is good news. I worry about his rebound control sometimes though.

What's with saying Matthews has been invisible? I thought he was easy one of the top 3 players on the ice today for US- dangerous offensively and he was often checking McDavid and stood his ground. The U.S. team in general is pretty rough comparatively though.

Russia can easily beat (or lose) Canada this tournament . If I remember correctly Russia won like 6 out of 7 meetings at the WHC

Pretty amazing, considering this is a Euro tournament completely aimed at European players. But I wouldn't say our D is that great, so this is hardly going to be a slam dunk for the Canadians.

USA Hockey is shameful. One of the top hockey countries in the world and they're barely competitive at the Worlds.
