In a way yes. Unless he developes significantly the areas that I mentioned in my previous post. If he will not develop those significantly he will not be able to help the 1st line in scoring efficiently, thus I predict he will be pretty soon demoted to 2nd line. And if he can't still seriously develop his clear weaknesses, he will not help the 2nd line either in being productive. So I unfortunately see it so far, that he will be pretty soon a 3rd or 4th liner. Of course I hope that he will develop his weaknesses seriously. I just don't see it happening very soon at least. And without developing the weaknesses substantially I see him as a 3rd line player. His weaknesses are pretty fundamental, so I am not that sure if he will ever be able to develop them enough to become a real star player. But only time will tell. At the moment I am anyway quite a sceptic in his case.
In nowadays hockey intensity and challenging the opponent is really everything. This is why for example some Finnish players are in trouble in the NHL, even if they are very skilled players. Players like Rantanen, Granlund (he is developing at least with it, just unfortunately has an abysmal shot

), Teräväinen and even Barkov (to some extent), lack this important intensity and the in your face attitude that young superstars like McDavid, Gaudreau, Laine and Marner for example have. It is a quality that is difficult to develop, if you just don't have it naturally.
