If I'm the Flyers... I try and parlay the Lecavalier thing into making Yandle a Flyer. Send Coburn and a forward (Couturier? Schenn?) to PHX
lol. no please.
Terrible!

Edit: And according to NHL Network he took less money to play in Philadelphia, be it for Giroux connection or just because he likes the organization.
Oh, wow. Habs fans are gonna flip.Edit: And according to NHL Network he took less money to play in Philadelphia, be it for Giroux connection or just because he likes the organization.
What about these lines?
Schenn-Giroux-Voracek
Hartnell-Couts-Read
Gagne-Lecavalier-Simmonds
very balanced lines.
Pipe down Sarah, the men are talking.

Imagine this washing machine represents a sane NHL offseason...the brick represents Paul Holmgren:
And, if we are lucky, potentially 500g.So Vinny will eventually get his 1000 pt with the Flyers....pretty cool.
Why do people want a 20yr old as 2nd line C???
Over a former 1st overall, cup winner.
I like this deal because I believe he will be shipped back to Tampa at some point of this contract. Likely his last 2 years.
That wasn't necessarily the order, just the combinations for the lines
So Vinny will eventually get his 1000 pt with the Flyers....pretty cool.
It's back to the drawing board for more conspiracy theories when talking about the Flyers since that one about agents and players blacklisting the Flyers didn't come to fruition.
Wasn't there a report out there that Toronto offered a similar deal or possibly more too?
So you want to play Gagne on 2nd line then?
That's a very real possibility. I hadn't thought of that. That way he can retire a TBL.
I think that the signing of Mark and Vinny might be what it takes to get Thomas to sign here for under 4 mil per. We have obviously made the statement that we are making a push for the cup next year and that might interest Thomas a lot. It might also encourage Miller to be willing to resign here if traded but I'm not holding my breath on that one.
I honestly think that we'll trade Meszaros for whatever and sign Thomas for 2-3 years at about 4 mil per. we'd still have room to sign Gags at 2 mil if we wanted for the 3rd line.
This is what I have for us:

CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter)
(these totals are compiled with the bonus cushion)
SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $68,503,522; BONUSES: $2,800,000
CAP SPACE (23-man roster):- $1,403,522
McGinn and Gervais start in the minors for 1 game until Pronger can go on LTIR which would make us cap compliant. Pronger goes on LTIR on day 1, call up those 2 guys, and we have 3.5 mil in cap space. This has Mesz being traded BTW.
i just gotta say that was awesome..
hahaha...
I was thinking more that G's line would be the first line and then we would have two very capable third lines. A Gagne-Couts-Read line would be great defensively, but I would worry about size and toughness on that line
No Gus?
