Hanifin no likey a lot of teams, Hanifin forced Conroy’s hand to where Hanifin wanted to go. Hanifin a bad bad manType to me like I'm stupid.. how is that all Hanifin got in return?

It really wasn't.. I looked up capfriendly after... M-NTC for 8 teams. I guess that makes sense. Feel like they got more for Tanev or I'm underestiming this Russian D by a lot.I fell for it
The Lindholm one was really good. The Tanev and Zadorov ones disappointing. This one is a massive failure. He should be worth more as a straight rental.I’m just stunned Conroy made yet another modest trade.
This one is as underwhelming as his others.
He signaled this earlier in the week when you heard the noise about Hanifin exercising his voice about where he’d like be moved.
8 team + refusal to talk extension/sign with probably another 20 teams. He made it very clear where he was willing to goIt really wasn't.. I looked up capfriendly after... M-NTC for 8 teams. I guess that makes sense. Feel like they got more for Tanev or I'm underestiming this Russian D by a lot.

Well Vegas, all this excitement and you couldn’t even crash the HF servers. Bunch of amateurs
Or a golf cartIf Vegas fans are ever able to crash anything, it will be MyFans. And it will be in UPLOADING.
But can't they still trade their first this season? No 1ST for Tanev so that's less
Maybe not. Then again, I'm positive people weren't giving Columbus even a 0.01% chance in 2019 vs. Tampa Bay, and after the 1st period of Game 1 [down 3-0, in Tampa] I don't think it was even a 0.000001% chance.Do you honestly think the Preds have shot? How about the Flyers? I don't think there's even a remote chance. You could see me on that if they had an underperforming roster like last years Panthers or the 2012 Kings. Neither 8 seed has even a 1% chance this year.
The Lindholm deal was extra medium. Better than the others but not great or even very good. It was solid. The Lindholm one was really good. The Tanev and Zadorov ones disappointing. This one is a massive failure. He should be worth more as a straight rental.
Conroy's hands were tied because Hanifin was only willing to land at a couple of places.for everyone calling this a shitty deal and saying Conroy should be fired...
Looking back at deals involving pending UFA defensemen and 1st round picks near the deadline...
So that's going back to 2017...
- Sean Walker got a 1st, but Philly ate RyJo's contract (4m for an additional year)
- Dmitri Orlov (and Hathaway) returned a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and a nothing prospect
- Hampus Lindholm returned a 1st and 2 2nds, but Anaheim ate a multi-year cap dump
- Ben Chiarot returned a 1st, 4th and nothing prospect
- David Savard returned a 1st and 3rd
- Kevin Shattenkirk returned a 1st, Conditional 2nd (they got nothing), Zach Sanford (who was a B prospect at the time) and Brad Malone (was in the AHL and a pending UFA)
Maybe the problem is more unrealistic expectations than the actual return.
I feel like this is an echo chamber with how many times that needs to be repeated.Conroy's hands were tied because Hanifin was only willing to land at a couple of places.
Hanifin is 27 not in his 30s. Hanifin is a lot better than most of those guys. The only ones somewhat comparable are Hampus Lindholm and Dmitri Orlov.for everyone calling this a shitty deal and saying Conroy should be fired...

Might be even more ideal for the Flames. 2026 is unprotected and eventually Vegas is going to fall out of the playoffs. But can't they still trade their first this season?
Hanifin is much better than every one of those D not named Lindholm. Very poor comparables and only further highlights how dumb Conroy is.for everyone calling this a shitty deal and saying Conroy should be fired...

VancouverI really wonder who are the 8 teams on Hanifin's no list. Lol
Not as long as they have Stone on the roster.lolMight be even more ideal for the Flames. 2026 is unprotected and eventually Vegas is going to fall out of the playoffs.
Huh? I know how much you love Ritchie. Brzustewicz is in the same bucket. He has 20 more points and plays defense. He returned a good prospect, 1st, 3rd/4th, C prospect and a cap dump. That's a damn fine return. I was happy with Brz, 1st and cap dump. The Lindholm deal was extra medium. Better than the others but not great or even very good. It was solid.
Low 1st rounder + B+ prospect.
Maybe, but even then compared to previous pending UFA defensemen dealt for a 1st, this return is on par.Conroy's hands were tied because Hanifin was only willing to land at a couple of places.
